Alcohol Detox

Detox is a required first step for many people with alcohol problems. While enrolled in this program, you stop drinking.

This allows your body to eliminate the alcohol still in your system. Unfortunately, if you are addicted to drinking, detox will trigger symptoms of withdrawal.

The range of potential symptoms varies from case to case. The affects you experience can range from mild to severe.

At Resurgence, we provide the help you need to safely detox from alcohol. At all times, you will be in the care of trained medical personnel.

That includes doctors, nurses and support staff. Medication is commonly used to ease alcohol withdrawal.

You will also participate in supportive counseling and therapy.

Inpatient Treatment

Inpatient treatment is a residential approach to alcohol rehab. While enrolled in this program, you live in comfortable surroundings at one of our facilities.

Each day, you will receive services that support your goal of lasting sobriety. These services include evidence-based medication.

They also include therapy that helps prepare you to lead a stable, alcohol-free lifestyle. Many people enrolled in our inpatient program have severe symptoms of alcoholism.

Others have moderate symptoms. You may also seek inpatient care for other reasons.

One common reason is lack of a stable living situation at home.

Partial Hospitalization Program or PHP

Our partial hospitalization program provides advanced outpatient care. While enrolled in this program, you’ll live at home.

However, most days of the week, you’ll visit our local facility for needed treatment. This treatment typically includes both medication and therapy.

Many people enter this program after completing inpatient care. You may also need to enroll in our PHP if you suffer from dual diagnosis.

A dual diagnosis describes the overlap of addiction and mental illness.

Intensive Outpatient Program or IOP

Intensive outpatient treatment is our second option for advanced outpatient care. You’ll live at home while enrolled in our IOP.

Several days a week, you will visit our local facility for all needed services. You may enter our IOP for a number of reasons.

For instance, you may need increased flexibility in your daily schedule. You may also choose to enter our IOP after completing our inpatient program.

In addition, you may need this level of care if:

  • You have dual diagnosis
  • You have significant physical health problems

Your therapist will work with you to decide if an IOP is the right level of care for you.

Standard Outpatient Treatment

Like our other outpatient services, this program provides state-of-the-art care for alcohol problems. However, it requires less of a time commitment.

While enrolled in this program, you’ll visit our local facility for several hours of treatment each week. Most people enrolled in standard outpatient care have mild addiction symptoms.

You may also consider enrolling at this level for other reasons. For instance, your schedule may not allow you to enroll in inpatient care.

Alcohol Rehab Programs in California with Evidence-Based Treatment

At Resurgence, we specialize in evidence-based addiction treatment. This term describes treatments that have sound scientific backing.

When you receive proven, modern care, you can rest assured that you’re getting top-quality treatment. Our proven options include medication.

They also include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT. CBT has clear benefits for people recovering from alcohol problems.

It can help you understand the nature of your addiction. In addition, it can help you develop the skills you need to maintain your sobriety.

We also offer several other types of therapy.

12-Step and Smart Recovery Programs

Twelve-step programs are known to support recovery from alcohol problems. They work especially well when you combine them with alcohol rehab.

For this reason, we offer 12-step services to all people enrolled in our programs. In addition, we offer Self-Management and Recovery Training, or SMART.

SMART has the same basic goals as a 12-step program. However, it uses different methods to reach these goals.

Alcohol Rehab Programs in California Aftercare and Alumni Programs

At Resurgence, we understand that you need ongoing help to remain sober. That’s true even after you complete your rehab program.

To support your long-term needs, we offer aftercare. For some people, aftercare includes enrollment in a less intense form of rehab.

For others, it includes periodic checkups that allow us to assess your current condition. In addition, we offer a voluntary alumni program.

You can join this program after you complete treatment. It allows you to establish social ties with others working on long-term sobriety.

Just as importantly, it gives you the opportunity to mentor people currently in treatment.
