At Resurgence, there is healthy and fresh food, exercise equipment, games, and movies. The rooms are comfortable, and there is a 24-hour clinical staff with a daily visit from a nurse practitioner, and the head nurse is an addiction RN. We use an integrated combination of:
- Medical care, including prescription medications when needed
- Evidence-based therapies
- Group therapies
- Experiential therapies
- Holistic treatments
- Educational programs
- Life-skills programs, including vocational skills
- Relapse prevention training
These methodologies combined in a whole-patient approach to healing will help you find the underlying causes of your addiction, get you ready to live on your own out in the world as a sober person and create a lifestyle transformation that will help you heal your body, mind, and your spirit.
Alcohol Detox Program
When quitting alcohol, it is important to have 24-hour medical oversight as your body stabilizes and regains its chemical balance in the brain. Alcohol detox is not an easy process, and the withdrawal symptoms can become extremely uncomfortable, distressing, and even life-threatening, especially if you begin to have seizures or develop delirium tremens (the DTs).
At Resurgence, our medically assisted treatment (MAT) detox program will keep you safe and comfortable and will reduce your risk of relapsing. There is no need to suffer as you detox, and our 24-hour clinical care staff, along with nursing staff will be there for you to ensure everything is going to plan.
Our alcohol treatment program takes place in a home-like environment, with not only extensive physical health care to keep you safe, but also dual diagnosis treatments for co-occurring mental health issues, therapy, counseling, and medications provided to keep you comfortable during this difficult time.
Drug Detox Program
The Resurgence medically assisted treatment (MAT) medical detox plan is different for clients, as we customize your treatment to best suit your unique needs. A supervised detox will keep you safe, with the support of medical staff, counselors, therapists, and our 24-hour clinical care staff.
Our goal is to ensure that feelings of fear, distress, restlessness, aches, and discomfort are eased and that you do not suffer the ill effects of withdrawal, like high blood pressure, seizures, or pain. The medications we provide during your detox will also ease drug cravings and help you to taper off all substances.
Our tailored programs will provide you with the support you need to get through your detox period and get you ready for the next phase of treatment: rehab.
Alcohol Rehab in Washington (What Is it and what is it like)
After detoxing, it is recommended for those quitting alcohol to move into our inpatient rehabilitation program. You will move into our inpatient rehab center full time, living alongside peers and staff for 30- to 90-days. We will begin your custom treatment plan immediately, with structured days filled with therapies, programs, and recreational activities. You will be physically removed from your everyday life, allowing you to gain perspectives without distractions like temptations, triggers, and stress, so you can focus on your own healing.
Our facility is comfortable and safe. You will sleep in a full-sized bed (not a hospital bed), eat healthy and delicious meals made by our onsite chefs, and have access to gym equipment, games, and TV. We have offsite outings and often host group activities and gatherings during the evenings.
Inpatient rehab is usually followed by an outpatient program, with most people choosing an intensive outpatient program that will help with the transition back to everyday life in a gradual way. We also give referrals to sober living homes if you would like to move into another structured environment after residential rehab is complete.
Drug Rehab in Washington (How Does It Work and What Is it Like)
Washington Drug rehab, like alcohol rehab, has inpatient and outpatient options. It is usually recommended that patients begin with residential care, but in some cases, this is not possible for the client, or it is not necessary as their addiction is mild, they do not have a co-occurring mental illness, and they have a stable place to live and a good home support group. We will customize your program to best suit your individual needs.
The outpatient programs we offer at Resurgence are:
Partial Hospitalization Program – you live outside the facility but come back for full days of full-time treatment. This option is usually a shorter-term transition to an intensive outpatient program that takes 7 to 10 days.
Intensive Outpatient Program – you live outside the facility, returning to normal activities like taking care of your family, going to a full- or part-time job, or going to school. Rehab programs run in the evenings and weekends, and we will work with you to create a program that meets your needs and offers all the support you need as you figure out how to balance all the parts of your life.
Resurgence also offers a virtual IOP at some locations, with therapy and treatments provided online through a telehealth app.
After the IOP – Outpatient programs can continue as long as you want them to, and we can create a custom plan that will suit your needs, giving you continued access to our sober community, alumni, resources in your area, medical care, medication assistance, and therapy as needed.

How Much Does Rehab Cost?
The cost of rehab should not be a barrier that keeps you from seeking help. There are insurance plans, payment options, and customizable programs at Resurgence that can help you. Every client is different, and we can work with you to help you get the detox and rehab treatment you need.
If you consider the cost of your addiction, you will realize that investing in yourself now will pay off in the future. Think about how much you are spending per week on substances, how much your medical bills will be if you continue down the road you are on, and the spiritual and emotional toll addiction is taking on you and your loved ones. Rehab can change your entire outlook, and we will help you verify insurance or figure out a payment plan that you can work with.
How Long is Detox?
The length of a person’s detox depends on factors like:
- What drug(s) you are detoxing from and whether you were also drinking or mixing them with other substances
- How long you have been using the substance
- How much you were using each time, and the frequency you were using the substances
- The method you were using the substances (injecting, snorting, smoking, or ingestion)
- Your health, history of drug use, and family history
- Whether you have mental illness, PTSD, or other co occurring conditions
Since every person is different, it is not possible to give an accurate timeline. Most people are in detox for a few days to a couple of weeks. Withdrawal symptoms usually show up rather quickly, within a few hours of the last use, and they generally peak after around 72 hours.
How Long is Rehab?
Inpatient rehab at Resurgence is provided in 30-day increments, and we offer 30-, 60-, and 90-day programs. Before you leave residential treatment, we want to ensure you feel comfortable and ready, and will always encourage our clients to stay in treatment until they are ready to move to the next step.
After inpatient rehab we will transition you into a partial hospitalization program or an intensive outpatient rehab program that continues all the treatments you were getting, but with more freedom. You will live outside the facility and begin to take on life’s responsibilities a little at a time, with full support. The longer you remain in inpatient and outpatient treatment, the lower your risk of relapsing.
30 Day (Short Term Rehab)
30 days in rehab will give you enough space from things to be able to focus, allowing you to recenter yourself and decide what is important to you in life. You will be surrounded by peers going through similar processes in a welcoming and peaceful environment, surrounded by nature. Our highly trained, empathetic staff will assist you along the way, and you will regain your strength, reframe your thinking, stop self-destructive behaviors, learn relapse prevention skills, and enjoy the amenities of our comfortable facility.
Long Term Rehab (60-90 Days)
Long-term rehab is preferred for anybody who:
- Is getting dual diagnosis treatment for mental health issues
- Is resistant to treatment or has a history of relapsing
- Has health issues that need constant monitoring
- Still feels withdrawal symptoms
- Is recovering from alcohol, opiate drugs, or benzodiazepines
The longer time in rehab will give you the opportunity to explore your inner self, gain healthier habits, learn coping skills for when triggers arise and stay safe as you rehabilitate. We will help you find and treat the underlying causes of your addiction, and you will have plenty of time and space to relax and recuperate.
Additional Therapies & Addiction Treatments Available
At Resurgence, we have a variety of therapies and addiction treatments, including exercise programs, different forms of talk therapy and group therapy, trauma-informed treatments, and family therapy. We help our patients connect with 12-step and SMART recovery groups, and we provide dual diagnosis treatments for those dealing with mental health concerns. There is something for everybody at Resurgence.
Couples Rehab
Couples rehab is for any couple with one or both people in active addiction. You and your partner can come to rehab together, and through a tailored program for each of you, heal, grow, and move into long-term recovery together. Couple’s rehab will help you avoid codependency and enablement while holding each other accountable and being each other’s support systems. Along with therapy, groups, and addiction counseling, you will work on:
- Self-control
- Communication skills
- Relapse prevention
- Supporting one another
Couple’s rehab provides a higher level of relationship satisfaction and reduces the chances of divorce or break-up and fighting, and it provides both partners a higher chance of abstaining from drugs and alcohol, long-term.
Pet Friendly Rehab
Resurgence is a pet friendly rehab center. This means that on a case-by-case basis we allow pets to come to inpatient rehab with their owners. Not only does this take away the stress of finding somewhere for your furry friend to stay while in rehab, but pets can also:
- Provide companionship and unconditional love when you need it most
- Improve physical and mental states of being, while helping with feelings of stress and depression
- Lower heart rate and blood pressure, and help you through times of physical discomfort
- Improve your sense of worth and give your days purpose
Does my Insurance Have Coverage for Rehab?
At Resurgence, we can help you verify insurance coverage, but if you have health insurance, some or all your treatment should be covered. Each provider offers different plans, so it is best to check with them before coming to rehab, so there are no surprises. For those who do not have insurance, we also offer a payment plan option. Contact our team to find out more about costs and insurance coverage.
MAT
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) detox is an integrated treatment plan that combines health care, dual diagnosis treatments, therapy, and the use of specific, FDA-approved, prescription doses of medications, for a whole-patient approach to detoxing.
At Resurgence, we do not treat you as “just another addict” when you come for help with your substance use disorder. We are here to help you, treat you with respect and dignity, and get to know you as the unique individual that you are. When we treat your addiction, we will first do screenings to learn about your addiction, your health, and your mental well-being, and then create a customized plan with you, including a medical detox plan.
Detoxing does not need to be scary or painful. During MAT treatment, you will live full-time in our comfortable detox center, with staff available day and night in case you need anything, even if it’s just to talk. Therapists, counselors, and nurses will meet with you, check how you are doing, and help you deal with any discomfort, thoughts, or unwanted emotions. This integrated method of detoxing will improve survival rates and reduce the risk of relapsing, and you will not suffer unnecessarily as the drugs and/or alcohol leave your body.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a type of therapy that deals with the underlying issues contributing to addiction-like emotional disorders and ingrained behaviors and habits. You will learn to modify your behavior and thoughts, find the reasons behind your drug dependency, retraining the brain to find alternate ways to deal with stress and triggers.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
DBT treats addiction by helping you understand the emotional and social reasons for your addiction. You will learn to replace negative emotions and behaviors with positive ones, and learn to stop self-destructive behaviors, emphasizing the psychosocial aspects of substance abuse.
Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT)
REBT has a focus on your perspective on life. You cannot control what happens, but you can control your responses. You will challenge your own thoughts and emotions, and learn to use logical, positive responses and healthy coping mechanisms to trigger stress.
Dual Diagnosis Treatment
Mental illness, PTSD, and other mental health issues like anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, ADHD, etc. need to be treated at the same time as an addiction because these issues are usually interconnected. Treating only one will usually cause the other to become worse. Dual diagnosis may involve psychiatric medication and specialized therapies.
Addiction Treatment that
Just Works
Individualized treatment programs delivered in a comfortable, relaxed setting promote healing in your recovery journey.
EMDR
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. This is a treatment that uses tapping or auditory tones to help you achieve “dual awareness”, keeping part of your brain focused on the present, safe space you are in as you revisit old trauma and emotional events of the past. Your therapist will guide you through treatment, and your brain will be able to reprocess these troubling events as normal memories, taking away their psychologically disruptive nature.
Relapse Prevention
Rehab is not a magic cure for addiction. Once you leave our programs, you will need to face temptations, triggers, stressful situations, boredom, and self-doubt in the real world. At Resurgence, we have relapse prevention programs that teach you coping strategies, relaxation techniques, and other skills that you can use to help yourself prevent relapse. We also provide a long-term connection to our sober community and aftercare programs you can access when you need help.
Life Skills Training
Addiction can happen to anybody at any time, and sometimes it gets in the way of learning everyday life skills that other people acquire during certain developmental life stages. These can be anything from cleaning to keeping a routine to basic hygiene tips. Sometimes an addicted person is lacking social skills or needs to learn about money management, nutrition, and cooking. At Resurgence we offer life skills training, so you can live independently and think about the future, creating and fulfilling goals for yourself and learning to live a regular life.
Vocational Training
Substance use disorders can be barriers to finding employment, so at Resurgence, we teach the skills like job searching, resume building, and how to hold a job long-term. Employment leads to self-sufficiency and financial independence, important factors in living independently. Having a job while in recovery will also keep you on a regular schedule and help you meet new people.
Group Therapy
Group therapy is psychotherapy, with a group of patients discussing issues while supervised by one or more therapists or psychologists. These groups may be themed, and provide benefits like promoting social skills, acting as a sounding board, and helping put issues into perspective, while offering a sense of community and letting you know you are not alone.
Experiential Therapy
Experiential therapy uses the idea that perception leads to thoughts and actions. It is a technique that incorporates all types of experiences, effectively distracting part of the mind in a safe and interesting activity, while you re-experience traumatic events or difficult emotions from the past. This way, you can think through underlying emotions, and your therapist can help you release anger, fear, and shame. You will learn to re-frame your emotional responses and be able to move past these difficult issues.
One on One Therapy
One-on-one therapy is individual counseling between you and a therapist, where you discuss issues, learn new ways to deal with feelings of unhappiness or being overwhelmed, gain coping skills, and get to the underlying causes of your addiction. Talk therapy can improve your quality of life, feel better about yourself, and help you change unhealthy behaviors into healthier actions.
Family Therapy
Family therapy is used to work through issues, deepen connections, and get through stressful times with the help of professional guidance. You can work through trust issues, problematic behaviors, and families of addicted people can work through the complicated feelings they may have and learn how to best support their loved ones in recovery.
Trauma Informed Therapy (After PTSD)
Trauma-informed therapy considers that medical settings, feeling a lack of control, or being reminded of certain incidents can cause re-traumatization in some people, so our staff take care to use open communication, make sure you understand and consent to everything before moving forward, and encourage a collaborative approach to all treatment.
Physical Fitness
Regular exercise not only improves the body’s overall health but also improves your sense of well-being and mental health. It can add structure to the day, and joining a team, club or class can give you the opportunity to make new friends while distracting you from cravings and providing stress relief.
Off Site Activities
At Resurgence we let you get a change of scenery when staying in residential rehab, by offering offsite outings like church on Sundays, or trips to local nature spots and attractions. These outings vary depending on which facility you are in, but all are designed to give you a chance to relax and take a breath of fresh air.
