Celebrities Alcohol Addiction

In 2022, the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism reported that 60.3 million adults reported binge drinking. Binge drinking is drinking an excessive amount to go past someone’s tolerance to alcohol and start feeling the effects of being drunk and extremely intoxicated. Since alcohol addiction isn’t a free addiction, it’s not surprising that many celebrities become addicted to it. They are also more exposed to triggers like lavish parties and award ceremonies that usually serve alcohol to celebrate the rich and famous. Here are the celebrities who have struggled with alcohol addiction.

Eventually, she recovered from her addictions with the help and support of her family after a staged intervention. After being sober and recovering from addiction, she created and opened up the Betty Ford Center in 1982. This center was created to help other people who were having issues quitting their addictions and overcoming them. Effects of Alcohol Abuse

Alcohol is a powerful drug and most people don’t think you can get addicted from just one sip. The smallest amount of alcohol can affect you in the short term. If you start binge drinking for those types of effects, it becomes dangerous to you and anyone around you as you’re not aware of what’s going on. When you overindulge, you are more likely to be prone to getting alcohol poisoning.

When you abuse alcohol so much over time, it can affect you physically and mentally in a chronic way. When drinking chronically, you can develop many health problems. Some of the health conditions you can develop over time from drinking are hepatitis, fibrosis, and cirrhosis. This type of drinking pattern can also lead to psychiatric symptoms. You can struggle with alcohol-induced depression, bipolar, and sleep disorders. If you start feeling the withdrawal symptoms of not drinking alcohol, you have an alcohol dependency issue.
