Why Choose Resurgence

If there is one thing we know it is that Buffalo area residents have a number of choices when it comes time to seek help for their alcoholism and drug addiction problems. We know that ours is not the only drug and alcohol treatment center around, and that is why we have worked so hard to make our protocols and programs the best around.

The Resurgence difference begins with the quality of our medical team, doctors and nurses who are board certified and possess special training in the field of addiction science. It continues with our caring and compassionate counselors, men and women who understand where you are coming from but also have the vision to show you a better way of life. It also includes our alternative and complementary therapies, all designed to help you heal and all created to help you build a better life for yourself and the people you care about.

Alcohol Detox Program

The fact that alcohol is a legal substance, available at every corner bar and even at the grocery stores in and around Buffalo, has led many people to assume that its use is no big deal. That is still a common belief, and as a result many people fail to get the help they need until their alcoholism is well established.

By the time an alcohol dependency sets in and becomes physical, the road to sobriety will begin with a course of detox, and we know you may not know what to expect from this vital healing process. We know that you may be nervous about alcohol detox, especially if you have tried to stop drinking on your own and been unsuccessful.

We would like to assure you, however, that our professional alcohol detox is designed to be as gentle and easy as possible, so you can take the first steps toward sobriety and keep going with our exclusive rehab program. We know you can put your alcohol use behind you, and now is the time to get started.

Drug Detox Program

Many of the most commonly abused drugs are physically addictive, and once that dependency sets in getting clean will mean going through drug detox, and we can make that process easier, gentler and safer. Even if you have tried to stop using drugs on your own and been unsuccessful, we encourage you to give it another try.

Now is the time to get going, and we urge you to reach out today before your drug dependency gets even worse. The severity of your drug detox journey will be impacted by the depth of your addiction, so the sooner you ask for help the better off you will be.

It is easy for Buffalo area residents who have never struggled with alcoholism to minimize the impact of the drug or pretend that it is not addictive, but as someone with direct experience you know better. You know that the sooner you get help with your alcoholism the better off you will be, and it is with this knowledge in mind that we have created our alcohol rehab program.

When you work with our alcohol rehab experts you will have access to an entire team of caring counselors, as well as medical and nutritional support to make your journey to sobriety easier and safer. Now is the time to get going, and we are urging you to reach out to us today.

Drug Rehab in Buffalo

When you first started experimenting with drugs or using prescription painkillers to address your medical issues you never imagined that you would be heading into rehab, yet that is the situation you find yourself in, and now it is time to make some important decisions. The choice of rehab center will matter a great deal, and we urge you to educate yourself and learn about what makes one rehab program better than the next.

When you work with our drug rehab program you will work with caring and compassionate counselors, men and women who will always measure their success by the success of our clients. You will be surrounded by supportive individuals who will always have your bank and always be there to protect you any way they can. Our goal is your recovery, and we want you to stay on that road for a lifetime.

How Much Does Rehab Cost?

If the world were a fairer place, no Buffalo area resident would ever have to worry about the cost of the medical care they need. Whether that medical care was for cancer, heart disease or substance use disorder, the cost would not be a factor, and they would never be forced to choose between the financial well being of their loved ones and their own health and happiness.

At Resurgence we will never ask you to make that choice, and we will work our hardest to find a program that is as affordable as it is effective. We will work with your insurance company to get your stay covered, we will address the options to keep the costs low and we will do what we can to protect your health and the health of your finances.

How Long Is Detox?

Even if you know deep down that you need to get help with your drug addiction or alcoholism, you may be reluctant to reach out because you worry about what detox will be like. Maybe you tried to stop drinking or using drugs on your own before, only to be driven back by the severity of your withdrawal symptoms. Perhaps you helped a friend try to quit, witnessing their pain and discomfort as their body rebelled.

At Resurgence Behavioral Health we know that you may have had some negative experiences with detox, and that may have left you wondering what to expect and how long the initial step of your journey to sobriety will last. The good news is that, although sometimes uncomfortable, detox is generally a short experience, and you can expect the worst of it to be over within the first few days.

Over the next week or so those symptoms should begin to fade, although you may still experience some psychological cravings, often intense ones. That is why it is so important to follow up your detox with a quality course of rehab, and that is one of the things we do here at Resurgence Behavioral Health.

How Long Is Rehab?

We know you may still have a lot of questions about drug and alcohol rehab, including how long the process will last and how long you will have to spend away from your loved ones back home in Buffalo. We know that you are wondering about the length of the stay, and that this may leave you with some hesitancy as you begin the process.

We also know that there is no one right approach to drug and alcohol rehab, and that is why we offer various choices for our clients, with stays as short as 30 days and as long as 90 days. But no matter which option you choose you will have access to the same high quality care, so you can learn to cope with life outside and succeed for the long term, long after you have walked out of our doors for the very last time.

30 Day Rehab (Short Term)

If you are dedicated to your recovery and anxious to get started, our 30 day course of rehab may be just what you need to turn your life around. For determined individuals this short term course of rehab can be a game changer, an accelerated program that provides you with the tools you will need to succeed when you head back home in less than a month.

Long Term Rehab (60-90 Days)

If you need a longer course of rehab to get better and develop strong coping skills, you are free to stay with us for 60 or 90 days. This longer term course of rehab will allow you to build on the lessons you have learned and the insights you have developed during your first 30 days, all while strengthening your resolve and giving you additional coping skills.

Our longer courses of rehab are great choices for all Buffalo area residents, and we encourage you to pick up the phone and give our caring counselors a call. The sooner you get going the sooner you can begin to heal, and now is the time to move.

Does My Insurance Have Coverage For Rehab?

For many Buffalo area residents the path to rehab is blocked by financial concerns and worries about monetary consequences, but it does not have to be that way. What you may not realize is that the health insurance premiums you are already paying for may provide coverage for the care you need, removing yet another impediment from your path and allowing you to focus all your efforts on getting well and staying clean.

If you have been putting off the care you need out of concerns about the cost, we urge you to pick up the phone and give us a call at Resurgence Behavioral Health today. When you call we will go to work, evaluating your insurance coverage, giving you a list of affordable treatment options and helping to get you into rehab. We do not think you should be forced to choose between your own health and the health of your bank account, and we will never ask you to make such a heartbreaking choice.

Additional Therapies & Addiction Treatments Available:

When it comes to treating drug addiction and alcoholism there are many different approaches, each designed to work with and complement one another. In many cases we have found that a combination approach is the best way to address a deep seated drug and alcohol problem, and that is why we have designed a number of alternative and complementary forms of therapy.

The additional therapies and addiction treatments we offer include:

  • DEBT
  • CBT
  • REBT
  • Dual diagnosis
  • EMDR
  • Vocational training
  • Life skills development

Each of these alternative and complementary forms of therapy can work on their own, but they are often used together within the walls of our facility. Each of the forms of therapy on our list, from the most traditional to the most cutting edge, have been carefully designed and implemented by our professional staff, and each one can provide a different type of healing, not only for you but for your loved ones as well.

Couples Rehab

You may have heard it said that drug addiction, alcoholism and other forms of substance use disorder are more than individual illnesses. Instead they are family afflictions, and when one member of the family is suffering everyone else in their orbit suffers in their own way as well.

If you have been struggling under the weight of a drug addiction or battling the effects of alcoholism, you already know how heartbreaking the situation has been for your loved ones. Maybe it was the prodding of your kids or the urging of your parents who finally got you into treatment, and it is their support that will help to carry you through.

For your spouse or romantic partner, however, the impact is even greater, and your relationship has probably suffered right along with everything else. For these reasons we have created an innovative form of couples rehab, one that is designed to help that damaged relationship heal and give you and the person you love most in life the new start on life you have been looking for. By the time you and your partner have graduated from couples rehab you will have the strength you need to tackle life back home in Buffalo as a strong and cohesive team.

Pet Friendly Rehab

When it comes to treating drug addiction and alcoholism the focus is on the human victims of this scourge, and that is as it should be. Even so it is important to acknowledge the suffering of pets in this epidemic, and the impact pets can have on not only addiction but the willingness of their human owners to get the care and rehab they need.

If you have been putting off the help you need out of concern for your pets, our pet friendly rehab will give you one less thing to worry about. Instead of worrying about how your pets are faring, you can relax knowing that they are incapable and loving hands. This will allow you to focus entirely on your own recovery, giving you one less thing to worry about.

MAT

For Buffalo area residents who struggle with drug addiction and alcohol dependency the road to recovery often means enduring an intensive course of detox, and that can be frightening. That is why we have developed an alternative form of treatment, one designed to reduce both the severity and the duration of the withdrawal symptoms you must endure, so you can emerge from detox stronger, smarter and healthier than you ever were before.

Through the use of pharmaceutical medications and ongoing medical support, we can give your body the time and space it needs to heal, setting you up for success in detox and in the rehab to come. This gentler and more comfortable form of treatment has been gaining ground in recent years, and we are proud to have been pioneers in its use and implementation.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Whether it is used to treat anxiety and depression, panic disorder, PTSD or something else entirely, cognitive behavioral therapy, or CBT, can be remarkably effective. If you have ever undergone mental health counseling, chances are your counselor was trained in the use of CBT, and our staff has the same high level of training.

When you trust your future and your sobriety to us we may include a course of cognitive behavioral therapy among our therapeutic efforts. Our medical team will evaluate you carefully and determine if you are a good candidate for CBT, and if you are we will create a course of treatment that is designed to give you insight into where you have been, so you can learn more about where you are going and what it will take to make it to your goal.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

Learning to manage your emotions is a key part of healing from drug addiction and alcoholism. If your emotions are out of control, staying clean will be very difficult with even the most high quality treatment, and that is why we have included dialectical behavioral therapy, or DBT, in our list of therapeutic options.

Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) is designed to address not only your current drug addiction and alcoholism and your past history but your emotional states as well. By taking control of our emotions, DBT seeks to harness the power of the mind, using it to help you build a better and brighter future for yourself and your loved ones.

Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT)

Rationality and drug addiction do not always go hand in hand, and alcoholism and emotional stability are equally incongruous. For many residents of the Buffalo area who struggle with substance use disorder a key part of recovery will be taking control of their emotions and learning to view the world through more rational eyes.

This drive toward emotional stability and a rational approach to life is what rational emotive behavioral therapy, or REBT, is all about. When you choose this complementary form of psychotherapy our therapists will guide you through the process, helping you find a way forward that is rooted in healthy rational beliefs and attitudes.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment

At Resurgence, we have learned many things throughout the years, including the fact that drug addiction, alcoholism and other forms of substance use disorder often have deep roots, roots that were planted years or even decades earlier. From a childhood spent living with child abuse to an adulthood spent dealing with a violent spouse, these experiences leave deep scars ,and they can make drug addiction and alcoholism more likely.

It is these root causes of substance use disorder that our dual diagnosis treatment program seeks to address, and we do so in a highly effective and intuitive manner. Through a number of different methods our therapists are able to uncover the true root causes of your ongoing substance abuse issues, giving you insight into where your problems came from and what it will take to break the chain of addiction once and for all.

EMDR

Some forms of treatment for drug addiction and alcoholism have been around for many years, while others are of newer duration. Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, or EMDR, is a member of the latter category, but that does not mean it is not also highly effective.

During this unique form of therapy, participants are asked to recall a particularly distressing event in their lives, an event that is often tied up with the use of alcohol or drugs. Once they have that event in their mind’s eye, participants are then directed to reprocess those thoughts through a series of very precise eye movements, essentially rewiring their brains and setting themselves up for success as they head back home to Buffalo.

Relapse Prevention

Those who have never been through rehab before may think that heading home to Buffalo will mean they are cured, but drug addiction and alcoholism are more complicated illnesses than that. Getting clean and staying clear are two different things, and that is why developing a solid relapse prevention plan will be so critical.

When you work with us at Resurgence, we will help you create just such a plan, one that addresses your individual triggers and uses your past history to build a better future. Armed with this relapse prevention strategy you will be better able to cope when things get difficult, and that will vastly increase your chances for long term success and a lifetime of drug and alcohol free living.

Life Skills Training

Your development can easily get disrupted when you start experimenting with alcohol and drugs, and that can leave you lacking the life skills you will need when you head back home. That is why we include life skills training in our list of additional treatment options, so you can move through the world with confidence and get on with the rest of your life.

Vocational Training

Holding down a job can be difficult when you are struggling with drug addiction and alcoholism, especially when you lack the vocational skills needed to qualify for the best and highest paying positions. That is why we have developed a program of vocational skills training, all designed to close the gap and give you additional resources you can take to the Buffalo area job market. Staying employed and staying clean go hand in hand, and that makes our vocational training an integral part of any lasting recovery.

Group Therapy

Working with a group can be a great way to hold yourself accountable, especially when other members of the group share your affliction. That is why we offer group therapy options where recovering addicts can learn from one another, giving them all the strength they will need to succeed long after rehab at Resurgence Behavioral Health is over.

Experiential Therapy

Every experience you live from leaves a mark, but some marks are deeper than others. That is why our experiential therapy is an integral part of our offerings, and why it helps our clients gain the skills they need to control their emotions, overcome their past traumas and move forward with a newfound sense of confidence.

At Resurgence, we offer family therapy for just this reason, so you can continue to rely on your loved ones after your formal stay in our rehab center has ended.

Trauma Informed Therapy (After PTSD)

Every form of trauma leaves its own type of mark, and the effective treatment of drug addiction and alcoholism often demands an equally effective approach to PTSD and other forms of trauma. Our trauma informed therapy is designed to provide that kind of support, so you can understand not only where you have been but where you are going as well.
