Alcohol Detox Program

Attempting to detox from alcohol abuse on your own not only often proves to be unsuccessful, but it can also be dangerous. Alcohol is one of the few substances that can lead to dangerous withdrawal symptoms, including seizures. Resurgence Behavioral Health offers an alcohol detox program that includes 24/7 supervision by a team of doctors and nurses to ensure patient safety and administer medications to prevent dangerous withdrawal symptoms including anti-seizure medications and beta-blockers. Patients can detox from alcohol abuse in comfortable private or semi-private non-hospital setting rooms. Medications used will greatly reduce withdrawals and cravings, including feelings of anxiety and depression often felt during detox.

Drug Detox Program

Detoxing on your own from illicit or prescription drugs may also result in uncomfortable and painful withdrawal symptoms, which can lead to an early relapse. Resurgence Behavioral Health can help Oregon residents needing medical detox safely and complete the withdrawal process. Our drug detox programs include 24/7 medical supervision from a team of board-certified doctors and nurses who will ensure your safety and be able to quickly act in the event of a medical emergency. They will also administer FDA-approved medications to ease withdrawal symptoms and cravings, helping you to detox in comfort. Counselors, therapists, and staff are also available to support you emotionally during this difficult time.

Alcohol Rehab for Residents of Oregon

After completing alcohol detox, patients can easily transition into our alcohol detox program. We offer multiple levels of care to meet you anywhere you are in your recovery. Residential inpatient treatments provide the chance to take a break from your life to fully focus on your recovery. Programs are highly structured with full days of therapy and group counseling to give patients routinely. Outpatient programs are best used as a step down from inpatient care but can be used as a starting point as well. Patients will live outside the treatment facility and travel to Resurgence multiple days a week for an allotted time of treatment. All levels of care include the same evidence-based addiction therapies and treatment.

Drug Rehab for Residents of Oregon

Drug rehab at Resurgence Behavioral Health begins with a thorough evaluation to determine your clinical and personal needs. Our clinicians create a personalized treatment program comprising one or more levels of care. All levels of care include the same clinically based addiction therapies and methods, tailored to each client’s needs. Inpatient drug rehab will allow you to take a break from stressors and triggers contributing to your addiction so you can truly focus on your recovery. Outpatient drug rehab allows more flexibility to live at home or a sober living facility and you may even be able to continue going to work or school full-time.

How Much Does Rehab Cost?

Drug and alcohol rehab programs will vary in price depending on the type of program you need. Factors such as the length of the program, level of care, and medications prescribed can influence the cost of your program. Residential inpatient treatment offers the most complete and intensive program but is also the costliest. However, your insurance plan may be able to pay for some or all of your treatment needs. Oregon residents can call us 24/7 to talk to an intake specialist and get an idea of what your program may look like and its cost.

How Long Is Detox?

Every person’s experience with drug or alcohol detox will differ, including how long it takes their body to detox from all toxic substances. In general, most people will complete detox within 7 to 10 days. Withdrawal symptoms appear within hours of your last dose and drink and will peak at around day two or three, after which you will begin to feel better. Factors such as age, sex, weight, overall health, type of substance(s) abused, the severity of addiction, and length of substance abuse can all contribute to how long it takes your body to detox. Occasionally, some people will experience mild, lingering withdrawal symptoms for weeks or months later which usually include depression or anxiety. Medication-assisted treatment can help relieve post-acute withdrawal syndrome (PAWS).

How Long Is Rehab?

Rehab programs at Resurgence Behavioral Health are customized to each client and will vary in length depending on the person’s needs. Our programs are available in 30-day, 60-day, and 90-day lengths but can be longer if needed. Individuals with severe addictions usually require long-term rehab which can be completed in multiple levels of care. Co-occurring disorders such as PTSD, depression, and anxiety may lengthen treatment as well so our clinicians can address these issues as well. Programs are dynamic and length can be readjusted as you progress to treatment. Drug and alcohol rehab can be completed using multiple levels of care.

Short Term Rehab

Our short-term rehab program at Resurgence Behavioral Health is the best fit for those with milder alcohol or drug addictions and without co-occurring disorders. 30-day rehab is an intensive, immersive experience that aims to fit in a large number of evidence-based therapies in a short period to get you back to your daily life quickly and healthily. Participants will spend the length of their program in various individual and group therapy sessions to break negative behaviors and patterns related to their addiction while learning new coping skills and tools to manage triggers and cravings on their own. Aftercare programs are an excellent way to help you transition back to the real world through resources and continued care.

Long Term Rehab

Individuals struggling with longer or more severe addictions may need long-term rehab or rehab that lasts 60 to 90 days. These programs are also beneficial for patients with co-occurring disorders who require dual diagnosis treatment for successful recovery. Long-term programs are less intensive and take a slower pace to help patients break negative habits and behaviors. These programs allow our clinicians to incorporate more specialized services including vocational and life skills training. Long-term rehab can be completed using multiple levels of care including drug detox, residential inpatient treatment, and intensive outpatient care.

Therapies & Addiction Treatments Available

Resurgence Behavioral Health can create customized treatment plans made up of various evidence-based addiction therapies and treatments. Our drug and alcohol rehab programs address every aspect of a person’s issue with addiction while teaching the necessary skills and tools to manage recovery independently. We employ a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, counselors, therapists, and psychiatrists.

Couples Rehab

Resurgence offers a couples rehab program that helps couples find long-term sobriety together. Each individual will receive a personalized treatment plan to address their unique needs and the root cause of addiction. We will incorporate group and couples therapy where couples can heal and grow together. Couples rehab offers the opportunity for both people to get sober together and heal the parts of their relationship which may have contributed to or been affected by substance abuse. Partners can break codependent or enabling behaviors and rebuild trust.

Pet Friendly Rehab

Patients can bring their well-behaved pets with them to our rehabilitation programs. Patients are required to provide full care for their pets while in treatment including feeding, walking, and bathing them.

Does My Insurance Have Coverage For Rehab?

Health insurance plans are required to cover mental health treatment, which includes drug and alcohol rehab. However, how much is covered depends on your plan and may only cover a portion of your rehab program at Resurgence Behavioral Health. There are also several out-of-pocket costs to consider, such as copays and deductibles. We work with most PPO insurance plans and our intake specialists are ready to verify your insurance so you have an idea of how much your program may cost you. Our customized treatment plans can also be built around your budget.

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Medication-assisted treatment is an integral part of our drug and alcohol detox program at Resurgence. Our board-certified doctors and nurses use FDA-approved medications to reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings. Medications used in detox can also be lifesaving as they reduce the chance of developing dangerous symptoms such as seizures. MAT is also used throughout the recovery process to ease co-occurring disorders and lingering cravings, and reduce the chance of a relapse.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Our multidisciplinary staff is trained in various psychotherapy techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy which is one of the most common forms of therapy used in substance abuse treatment. This type of one-on-one therapy aims to help patients recognize and break negative behavioral patterns related to their substance abuse. Our clinicians at Resurgence will use CBT to identify problematic behaviors and thought patterns to offer ways to replace them with positive and healthy ones. CBT is used to identify and treat the root causes of addiction.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

DBT is derived from cognitive behavioral therapy and aims to help patients live in the moment and live a life they feel good about. Core skills taught in one-on-one sessions using DBT include how to deal with difficult situations, emotional regulation, managing interpersonal relationships, and gaining awareness of thoughts and emotions so you can deal with them without judgment. Patients will also identify self-harming behavior, including alcohol and drug abuse, to change these behaviors. DBT can help patients manage their emotions and thoughts so they do not need drugs or alcohol to self-medicate.

Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT)

Rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT) is another form of psychotherapy that can help patients manage thoughts, emotions, and behavior more healthily without having to turn to drugs or alcohol. Our clinicians at Resurgence behavioral health will use this form of therapy to help patients deal with irrational beliefs to prevent negative reactions or behaviors related to substance abuse. Patients can also learn how self-destructive behavior related to drug and alcohol abuse may have been driven by emotional distress. REBT is one type of the many therapies we use in dual diagnosis treatment to treat co-occurring disorders.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment

Co-occurring disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and PTSD are often seen with substance abuse and may even be the root cause of addiction. Resurgence Behavioral Health integrated dual diagnosis treatment when necessary to treat these disorders simultaneously and provide the best chance at long-term recovery. Through various forms of psychotherapy, group counseling, and medication-assisted treatment, our clinicians can successfully help you gain a handle on mental health disorders and avoid the need for drugs, alcohol, and even prescription medications to manage your symptoms.

EMDR

Part of our trauma-informed care includes various types of therapy to treat trauma and PTSD in patients. Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) is a cutting-edge therapy that has helped many manage physical and emotional responses to painful and traumatic memories. Through a series of bilateral (side-to-side) eye movements, trained therapists will have you recall traumatic memories in small segments in an attempt to help the brain change how it stores these memories. Patients have found these memories no longer cause the same effect after repeated sessions.

Relapse Prevention

Effective drug and alcohol recovery programs will teach patients how to manage their addiction in the long run. Our relapse prevention training at Resurgence educates patients on how to identify symptoms and signs related to an oncoming relapse so they can take the right steps to stop it. Relapse prevention can involve lifestyle changes, self-care techniques, and planning on keeping up with therapy and support groups. Patients can also include a list of coping skills and techniques they have learned that they find most beneficial in managing triggers and cravings.

Life Skills Training

When substance abuse begins at a young age, it can cause a person to miss out on learning life skills that are universal to most people. These life skills are essential in living an independent life and creating daily routines which are beneficial to

Vocational Training

While some can maintain employment while struggling with addiction, substance abuse can affect obtaining or keeping a job as well, especially if your substance abuse has led to legal trouble. Programs at Resurgence will include vocational training to help patients find and maintain successful employment through teaching interviewing skills, resume-building skills, and self-management. Stable employment is essential for successful recovery as it helps you maintain financial stability, creates accountability, and reduces financial stress triggers that may lead to a relapse.

Group Therapy

Drug and alcohol rehab programs at Resurgence are largely made up of group therapy sessions. Patients will participate in several group therapy or support group sessions each week which can help provide mutual support to others in recovery, reduce loneliness, and learn interpersonal skills. Group therapy sessions are led by one of our trained counselors and focus on topics such as daily goals, emotional self-regulation, anger management, life skills training, aftercare planning, and health and wellness. This is also an excellent opportunity to create lasting friendships which can be integral to your support network.

Experiential Therapy

Resurgence Behavioral Health incorporates experiential therapy into programs to help patients explore and express emotions in non-traditional therapy settings. Through hands-on, engaging activities, patients can work through underlying issues and repressed feelings and emotions they were not able to access through talk therapy. Experiential therapy can include activities such as making art, writing, creating music, role-playing, animal therapy, adventure therapy, and recreational therapy.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy involves working one-on-one with a counselor or therapist through various forms of therapy to work on your issues surrounding addiction. At Resurgence Behavioral Health, our counselors will guide you through varying behavioral therapies to find what works best for you and can include therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, rational emotive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. Patients will discuss and work through the most intense parts of their lives related to substance abuse and underlying issues in a safe and private setting. Therapists will also provide you with tools, feedback, and coping strategies to deal with negative thoughts and feelings positively.

Family Therapy

Addiction and substance abuse can have far-reaching effects on all areas of your life, including relationships and loved ones. Family therapy aims to help you and your loved ones mend broken relationships, learn better communication skills, break codependent or enabling behaviors, and heal from the effects of addiction. Family members can also learn to understand your addiction and how to better support you in your recovery. Healing family dynamics is part of our all-encompassing addiction treatment programs at Resurgence.

Trauma Therapy

Trauma and PTSD are common among those in recovery. Trauma-informed care acknowledges the impact of unhealed trauma and provides strategies for moving forward while also treating substance abuse. Healing trauma symptoms is critical in substance abuse as symptoms can contribute to the urge to use drugs and alcohol. Our counselors at Resurgence Behavioral Health aim to provide a safe healing space for patients and avoid causing triggers with those with traumatic histories, especially trauma surrounding medical care and authority figures. We will always keep open communication with you about your treatment plan and ensure you are a part of treatment planning.

Fitness Programming

Addiction can cause long-lasting physical and mental effects on a person, which can be healed more quickly through proper nutrition and exercise. Resurgence incorporates fitness programming into treatment plans which can help patients stabilize their mood, regain strength, and reduce cravings. Exercise can be an excellent addition to your relapse prevention plan as it helps to create a routine and reduces the likelihood of a relapse. Our counselors and fitness programming can help you create an exercise routine that works for you.

Off-Site Excursions

Inpatient rehab programs at Resurgence may include some off-site activities to help you begin to apply what you learn in treatment to the real world. This is also an opportunity to take a break from the hard work done in treatment, reduce feelings of isolation, and begin to enjoy the world in your newfound sobriety. Off-site activities can include hiking, trips to the beach, and visits to museums.
