Top Rated Alcohol Rehab Center in Tennessee | Resurgence

The difference between having a couple of drinks now and then, and alcohol abuse comes down to the frequency and the amount you are drinking. Heavy drinking for men equals about 14 drinks per week, and for women, it’s 7 drinks in a week. Binge drinking for men is 5 drinks in 2 hours, and for women 4 drinks in 2 hours. When alcohol abuse becomes a pattern, and there is a physical or psychological urge to drink, you may be an alcoholic.

Some signs of alcoholism include:

  • Physical withdrawal symptoms and cravings when you don’t drink
  • Drinking alone, in secret, or first thing in the morning to feel normal
  • Prioritizing drinking and buying alcohol over other responsibilities or other people’s needs
  • Continuing to drink even when it begins to cause problems in your relationships and work
  • Continuing to drink even when it causes health problems and money problems
  • Being unable to stop drinking or control how much you drink once you get started

If these signs sound familiar, it may be time to contact us. Resurgence has the number one alcohol addiction treatment program for residents of Tennessee. With our integrated, multi-faceted rehabilitation programs, you will be taken care of from the moment you begin your intake procedures to years down the road in our aftercare program. Addiction is not solved overnight, but with Resurgence, you can rest assured that you will be taken care of and given the guidance you need to get sober and remain in recovery for the long term. Alcohol addiction can affect people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds, and everybody has different needs and goals when they enter rehab. Our detox and rehab programs integrate mental health, substance abuse, and primary care services, and we focus on getting to the root of addiction, rather than just treating withdrawal symptoms. Best Alcohol Rehab Center in Tennessee

At Resurgence, we tailor your rehab to your specific, individual needs, so that you can gain the healthy coping mechanisms and recovery skills you need. We provide a combination of counseling, therapy, educational programs, recreation, and peer groups so that your treatment is varied and interesting. We also have flexible aftercare and outpatient options, and we will help you decide which programs are right for you throughout your treatment.

Our alumni network is thriving, and you are always invited to join in their get-togethers, barbecues, and outings, so you can stay connected with a sober community. They offer positive support, mentorship, and the chance to help others when they are in need. Meeting up with them will give you the opportunity to gain new sober friendships.

Another service we offer is referrals to sober living homes. When leaving the inpatient rehab center in Tennessee, some of our clients feel they would like to remain living in a structured environment with rules around drug and alcohol use. A sober living home will keep you accountable and help you prepare for life on your own while you are in a supportive environment.

What To Expect During Alcohol Rehab

When you first enter rehab for alcohol at Resurgence, you will go through our intake procedures. This includes an interview to get to know your needs and goals for rehab, and we will review your medical, psychiatric, and drug histories. We will screen you for other health and psychiatric issues in case there is a need for a dual diagnosis treatment plan.

You will then move into our detox center, where you will stay in a room with a full-size bed and a TV, with full access to healthy food, peer groups, and most importantly, our staff will be available to you 24/7 as you detox. We have a Medically Assisted Treatment program that is highly recommended, especially if you are detoxing from a drug that has a risk of severe withdrawal symptoms. Therapy is also introduced at this time.
Detox takes about 7 to 10 days, and then you will transfer into our rehab center. This is in the same facility, so you won’t have to worry about moving and getting to know new caregivers and doctors. Your therapy will continue, with options for different groups, counseling, coaching, and educational programs. Your program will be completely customized to you, so you will be comfortable and engaged with everything you are doing.
Some of the therapy options we offer to treat the underlying causes of addiction, and co-occurring disorders like trauma and mental health include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT)
  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Experiential Therapy
  • Trauma-Informed Therapy
  • Motivational Therapy
  • Equine Therapy (Texas location)
  • Couple’s and Family Therapy

We also offer life skills training, physical fitness and nutritional support, and vocational training. Our process groups are varied and may cover topics like anger management, relapse prevention, creative outlets, stress reduction, and addiction awareness.

How Long is Alcohol Rehab?

At Resurgence, we do not put a definitive timeline on rehab, because every person comes from a different circumstance, and has different needs. We strongly recommend a minimum stay in inpatient rehab for 30 days. This will provide a full month of therapy, groups, and other programs that will give you the tools you will need to live back home as a sober person. We will teach drug abstinence and relapse prevention skills, and you will have the time and space away from your triggers and temptations to see your life from a different perspective.

There are options for 60- or 90-day long-term rehab, which is recommended for people with a history of relapsing, people who still have detox symptoms, or for anybody who feels they need more time with us.

Does Resurgence Take My Insurance?

In the USA, rehab treatment and mental health care are covered as essential health benefits under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) of 2010, and the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA). This means your insurance provider should cover some or all of your care with us, but as each provider is different, you should definitely have a conversation with your insurance company to find out exactly which treatments and medications are covered. We are also happy to offer payment plans for our cash-paying customers.

What Does A Day In Rehab Look Like?

The days in residential rehab are highly structured, so you won’t have to worry about what you should be doing. You will wake up in the morning, have breakfast, get ready, and then begin your day of groups, therapy, and classes.

The days are fully scheduled, with short breaks between groups, and a lunch break. We have structured the days to run like workdays, so you will be finished early in the evening. You can then enjoy some dinner, and afterward, you are free to enjoy the facilities or spend time in your room until it’s time for bed. We want to ensure you have the time to relax and rest your mind and body while you stay with us.

Outpatient Alcohol Rehab

At Resurgence our outpatient programs are customizable and flexible, to work with your changing needs as you leave rehab and transition back to your normal life.

We offer a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), which is a step down from inpatient rehab, that allows you to begin using your newly learned skills while living outside of the rehab center, but with full support from our staff as you commute back to the center up to 7 days a week for full days of groups, therapy, and other programs.

The other option is our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). The IOP is a more flexible program that can be scheduled around work, school, or other responsibilities you need to return to like caring for family members.

Inpatient Alcohol Rehab

When you stay in inpatient care, you will be surrounded by like-minded peers and supportive staff in a community-oriented facility. Your days will be customized to best benefit you, and you will have plenty of time for resting, healing, and restoring your sense of yourself that may have been lost due to addiction. Being outside of your everyday routines and stresses will help you view your life from an outside perspective.

A stay in inpatient rehab for 30 days directly after detox is the minimum time we recommend, but you can remain with us for a 60-, or 90- day program, depending on your needs and preferences. At Resurgence, the focus is on your comfort level, but the longer you stay in residential care, the better your chance will be to lower your risk of relapsing. We encourage you to stay with us for as long as you need to feel confident and ready to transfer into outpatient care.
