Best Drug Rehab Center for Tennessee Residents

Drug addiction is a very common issue that affects millions of Americans each year. Not only does it affect your life on a personal level, but can easily become dangerous, especially if you are increasing your doses, mixing them with other drugs and alcohol, or using drugs alone.

Some signs you may be addicted to a drug include:

  • craving the drug, needing it to get through the day, or having withdrawal symptoms when you stop using
  • problems at work or in your family, because you are prioritizing using the drug over the needs of others
  • acting in ways you never thought you would get drugs or get money to pay for drugs
  • using prescription drugs in ways they were not intended
  • feeling guilty or trying to hide your drug use
  • been in trouble with the law for illegal drug possession or other drug-related issues

Drug addiction is not picky, and can easily happen to anybody under the right circumstances. Nobody is immune. Self-medication to deal with emotional issues or trauma, stress, or relationship problems is a common reason people begin abusing drugs. If any of these signs and symptoms sound familiar to you, it may be time to seek professional help for drug addiction.

At Resurgence, we look for the underlying causes of addiction instead of only treating the immediate symptoms, leading to long-lasting, positive changes in our patients. Drug addiction is a complicated disease, and every person is complex and unique. With our combination of integrated care, high-quality amenities, and a caring and dedicated staff, Resurgence is the best drug rehab center for Tennessee Residents.

Why Choose Resurgence for Drug Rehab

At Resurgence, we believe that each of our patients is an important and unique individual. We get to know you through physical and mental health screenings, learning your history with drugs and addiction, and learning about you as a person. This way, we can customize your treatment plan to suit you and help meet your needs as best we can.

We will work with you to select therapy, groups, and educational sessions that interest you and will help you meet your post-rehab goals.

Some of the therapies offered include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT)
  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Experiential Therapy
  • Trauma-Informed Therapy
  • Motivational Therapy
  • Family Therapy

We also have programs and sessions like:

  • Couple’s rehab
  • Physical fitness and nutritional support
  • Outings to local attractions and nature
  • Vocational training
  • Life skills training
  • Sober living home referrals

What to Expect During Residential Drug Rehab

The first stage of any rehab program is to quit using drugs. This should not be done alone, as withdrawal symptoms can quickly escalate to dangerous heights. At Resurgence, we have a Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) plan, in which you may be administered prescription doses of FDA-approved medications to treat your symptoms and keep you safe as your body adjusts to the drugs leaving your system.

Once detox is over, you will be admitted to a comfortable room in our inpatient drug rehab (in the same facility) and begin your intensive treatment. There is a mix of therapy, group sessions, and recreational time, so you can work hard on yourself during the day, then find time for resting and relaxing in the evenings. We even have game tournaments and movie nights.

At Resurgence, the days are structured, and you will be given a schedule to follow. You will eat nutritional food and have lots of time for exercise and games. If you have a dual diagnosis and are dealing with a mental health issue, you will have medical appointments and may be prescribed medications to help address your co-occurring condition.

We will work with you, using a trauma-informed approach, to ensure you are not being dragged along or left behind, and so that you are an informed collaborator when it comes to your own treatment program. We will not force you to do any therapies you don’t want to do, but it’s best to remember that the more you put into your time in rehab, the more you will get out of it.

How Long is Inpatient Drug Rehab?

We customize each drug rehab program to each client’s needs, but typically we will recommend a minimum stay of 30 days in our inpatient programs. We also offer 60- or 90-day programs for those who have a history of relapsing, those who require more intensive in-depth care such as a person with a dual diagnosis, or anybody who wants a little extra time to work on their recovery.

At Resurgence, we want to ensure you feel ready to move on to outpatient care, and we encourage you to stay in residential care for as long as you need.

Resurgence takes most insurance plans. Addiction and mental health care is covered under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) of 2010, and the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equality Act (MHPAEA) as essential health care benefits.

Every provider is different, so we encourage you to have a conversation with an insurance representative and find out exactly which medications and treatments are covered under your specific plan. We can work alongside you, your insurance provider, and your budget, and we offer payment plans for any cash-paying patients as well.

What Does A Day In Rehab Look Like?

A day in the life of rehab begins early in the morning. You will wake up, take any medication you need, and possibly fit exercise in before the day really begins. During the day you will follow your schedule of peer groups, one-on-one therapy, classes, and another programming. The days are busy, but there are short breaks between groups, as well as a lunch break. The “work” day ends around 4:30 pm, and you will then be free to eat dinner and do what you wish. There are plenty of recreational activities on campus for you to take part in, or you can head to your room for some R&R.

Outpatient Drug Rehab

Drug addiction does not magically disappear the moment you walk out the door from rehab, as much as we wish it did. The true test comes when you have to implement your new recovery skills and coping mechanisms in real-life scenarios. Many people require extra support to take that step, and that’s where our outpatient programs come into play.

We offer two main categories of outpatient care:

1. The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) – an intermediate step between inpatient rehab and living on your own. This is a day program, where you live outside our facility but commute back as much as you need to, spending full days in therapy, groups, and taking full advantage of our amenities.

2. The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) – a flexible program customized to each of our patients, helping you schedule your treatments, therapy, groups, and doctor’s appointments around work, school, or any other responsibilities you cannot neglect.

We can also provide referrals to sober living homes in your area if you would like to keep the structured living environment you had in inpatient rehab. These are homes with strict rules on drug and alcohol use, with mandatory drug tests and other regulations like curfews, ensuring you’re going to work, school, or an outpatient rehab program during the day, and more. Each home is different, so we can find one that suits your needs.

At Resurgence, we will continuously work with you to ensure you are receiving the appropriate amount of care in our flexible programs. You are in control of the frequency and intensity of care you receive. If you need to begin in a 7-day-a-week PHP program for a couple of weeks, then slowly transfer into an IOP we can do that, or if you are ready to get back out there right away, we can craft an IOP plan that fits your busy lifestyle.
