Top Rated Prescription Drug Rehab for Residents of Franklin

Drug addiction is not picky. Regardless of race, religion, financial status, social situation and gender, chemical dependency can affect anybody. Some of the reasons people begin abusing prescription drugs include emotional and psychological issues like stress, trauma, a recent loss, money or relationship problems, or receiving a medical diagnosis. Self-medication with drugs can quickly develop into a cycle of abuse.

Physical addiction is characterized by withdrawal symptoms like headaches, gastrointestinal distress, headaches, and drug cravings. Psychological addiction is even more insidious. You may find you gradually become obsessed with thinking about the drug, finding more, and where the next hit will come from. You might begin acting in ways you normally wouldn’t, like violent behavior, blacking out, or doing things for money like stealing or manipulating people with a disregard for the negative consequences that may come. Although serious, drug addiction is not a life sentence, and with professional help, you can regain control, make amends to those you may have hurt, and live a healthy, sober life.

At Resurgence, we treat the whole person, not just the addiction. This includes working through these types of triggers and issues using therapy, so we can get to the root of your addiction. With Resurgence, you will detox and rehabilitate in a safe place away from your everyday life stresses, with all the support you need. The facilities at Resurgence are excellent, with a dedicated, highly trained staff, many of whom are in recovery themselves. The clinical staff is on-site 24 hours a day, a nurse is around during the day, and the head nurse is a certified addictions RN.

We ensure each client has a tailored treatment plan to suit their individual needs, including dual diagnosis. We will help you meet your goals while working within your budget. There are multiple payment options, including payment plans for our cash customers, and we take most insurance.

We also have programs and courses to build you up, promoting healthy living, vocational training, and life skills, so you will have the tools you need to live a self-directed life, giving you a much lower chance of relapsing after treatment is over.

What is RX Rehab Like?

At Resurgence, our RX rehab is a restorative and peaceful process. You will move into our rehab facility, and live there for 30, 60, or 90 days, depending on what treatment program we decide will work best for your specific needs as an individual. The days at Resurgence are very structured, so you will not have to worry about what you are supposed to be doing. We will schedule time for your treatments, and you will also be able to choose classes in life skills, like anger management, relapse prevention, overcoming trauma, and developing coping skills. We offer process groups using art therapy, cinema therapy, and activities, and there are exercise facilities, movie nights, and game nights as well. There will also be plenty of time for you to rest your body and reflect upon what you have learned.

What to Expect During RX Rehab

When you first enter a Resurgence facility, you will be screened for physical and mental health co-occurring conditions, and interviewed, so that we get a full picture of who you are, and what treatments will work best for you. We work together with you to create an individualized treatment plan, and then you will begin detox. Detox usually takes anywhere from five to ten days, depending on factors like the substance you are detoxing from, how long you were using it, and physical and genetic factors.

Once detox is complete, we will transfer you into a comfortable, home-like room in our rehab facility. During rehab, you will be given multiple treatment options, with therapies available like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), experiential therapy, family and couples therapy, group therapies and one-on-one counselling sessions. We use trauma-informed methodologies throughout our care, so that each person will feel safe and listened to, as well as informed on their treatment every step of the way. There will be no surprises, and you will not have to do anything you don’t want to do.

At Resurgence, the days are structured, but you will also have time to rest and reflect. We have exercise equipment and nutritional counseling, as well as an on-site chef to prepare healthy and fresh food. We have community outings, movie nights, and game nights. If you have a pet, you can bring it to rehab along with you. There are classes in life-skills training, and vocational training, so you can gain skills to bring with you back to the outside world after rehab.

Our integrated treatment approach allows us to create a program specific to you, your interests, your beliefs, and your needs. Some people like the more spiritual route of traditional 12-step programs and attending church on Sundays. Others prefer to use art therapy, or to focus on the science behind their recovery. Whatever route you want to go, we have options that will work with you, so you feel comfortable and safe throughout your care.

Top Abused Prescription Drugs

The top abused prescription drugs are:

Opioids: Oxycodone (Oxycontin), Percocet, Hydrocodone (Vicodin) Codeine, Fentanyl, and Meperidine (Demerol). These drugs are often prescribed for pain and produce a euphoric effect by attaching to opioid receptors in the brain to prevent it from receiving pain messages.
Central Nervous System (CNS) Depressants: (barbituates and benzodiazepines). These are tranquilizers that have a calming effect by slowing down brain activity. These include Alprazolam (Xanax), Phenobarbital (Luminal) Clonazepam (Klonopin), and Diazepam (Valium).
Stimulants like Amphetamine/Dextroamphetamine: (Adderall) and Methylphenidate (Ritalin). These drugs increase brain activity, boost alertness and energy levels.

Because prescription drugs can sometimes be legally obtained, or found in loved ones’ medicine cabinets, they may not seem dangerous. The truth is prescription drug abuse is hazardous and even fatal, especially when the dosage increases or they are mixed with other drugs or alcohol.

To quit using prescription drugs, it is almost always the case that a medically assisted treatment in a facility like Resurgence is the only way to detox safely, and professional rehab will ensure your risk of relapse decreases.
