Addiction Treatment that
Individualized treatment programs delivered in a comfortable, relaxed setting promote healing in your recovery journey.
What Is Inpatient Rehab?
When you stop using drugs and go through a detox, your addiction is not instantly cured. Addiction is a many-faceted issue, and physical dependence is only part of it.
Once you are done detoxing, rehab begins. At Resurgence, we offer many ways to be in rehab, depending on your personal needs, goals, and preferences. What we aim to do is use behavioral therapy and skills training in a healthy, community-oriented place, away from your everyday stresses and triggers, to retrain your brain, and get you working on replacing self-destructive behaviors with healthy, positive ones.
Inpatient rehab is when you stay in a Resurgence residential center for a minimum of 30 days, so you can live in a structured environment and really focus on your own health and recovery. We have comfortable rooms with full-sized beds, excellent food made by our in-house chef, with special hot breakfasts on Sundays, and amenities like exercise facilities, games, movies, and off-site trips to the beach, hiking, or surfing. The most important thing that takes place during rehab is therapy. There are many different types of therapy, and at Resurgence, we can tailor a program to you, so you feel comfortable and supported while you are here.
What Is Inpatient Drug Rehab Like?
Inpatient drug rehab begins with our intake procedures. We will meet you, show you around, do an interview to get to know you, and screen you for health issues and mental illnesses. This is all to make sure you feel comfortable, and so we can understand what you want to achieve while in rehab.
At Resurgence, we believe in treating the whole person, not just the addiction. This means that we will find out if you need a dual diagnosis treatment for trauma or mental health issues, and we can figure out which therapies will work best for you. We have many different treatments, programs, and activities to choose from.
After intake, you will begin detoxing. This is when the drugs leave your system. We have a medically assisted treatment option which we usually recommend to everybody in detox because it will keep your body safe and comfortable, and make sure you can sleep and get through detox as easily as possible. We provide FDA-approved medications at prescription doses, so you will not get a new addiction while detoxing.
When detox ends, rehab begins. You will stay in our structured, community-oriented, peaceful, and comfortable residential facility, eat healthy food, have access to our exercise equipment and activities, and most importantly, you will attend various therapy and counseling groups, to work on skills and tools you can use when you transition back out into your life, without drugs or alcohol.

What to Expect During Residential Rehab?
During residential rehab, you can expect to do a lot of work on yourself. Rehab is a place where you can be away from the stresses of life, learn healthy skills and coping mechanisms, and treat not only your physical addiction but any co-occurring conditions that may exist, like mental illness or trauma.
Therapy, counseling, and training will be a huge part of your time in inpatient rehab. At Resurgence, some of the options we have for you include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, rational emotive behavioral therapy, EMDR, group therapy, one-on-one therapy, experiential therapy, and family therapy.
What all of these therapies have in common is they are going to help you get to the root of your addiction. You will talk through issues, not only drug-related, and figure out new ways to process, experience, and let go of trauma. You will gain tools to help you in your future and learn new ways to replace harmful behaviors like drug use with healthy coping techniques.
We also have vocational skills training, for those who have experienced barriers to employment due to substance abuse. We also offer life skills training, which provides tools needed to navigate the challenges of life without the use of substances. We know that working and self-sufficiency are important steps to leading an independent sober life.
How Long Does Residential Rehab Last?
At Resurgence, we recommend a minimum stay of 30 days in our residential rehab program. This is because it takes some time to get into the swing of things after detox, and then you will need time to work on yourself in therapy and counseling. We also have longer 60- and 90-day inpatient programs, so you can take as much time as you need.
Being in a new environment, away from the temptations and triggers of everyday life will help you relax and become confident in your sober self. The longer you remain in rehab, the better your chance is that your recovery will be long-term.
Once you are ready to move out of inpatient rehab, we offer outpatient options that will incorporate what you have learned in rehab into real-life situations. We also can refer you to our affiliated sober living homes, if you feel you would like a structured intermediary step between rehab and living on your own. We will support you throughout your journey towards an independent, sober life.
