Why Choose Resurgence
At Resurgence, we truly care about you as a person. We endeavor to make your life better and help you become the person you want to be throughout your recovery. We don’t just see you as an addiction to get out the door, we want to make sure you are set up to live independently, with the recovery skills and tools you will need to avoid relapse, and we also provide the social support you will need far beyond rehab through sober home referrals, our alumni group, and continued access to all of our outpatient programs and amenities for as long as you need.
Alcohol Detox Program
At Resurgence, we recommend using our Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) program for detoxing from alcohol, so that your withdrawal symptoms remain under control and safe. During MAT, we provide prescription doses of FDA-approved medications to ensure you can detox comfortably, and avoid serious symptoms like delirium tremens. MAT is integrated with mental health care and therapy so that emotions or trauma that comes up during detox are addressed right away.
Drug Detox Program
When you are detoxing from drugs at Resurgence, we offer our Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) so that we can help you mitigate the worst of your withdrawal symptoms and alleviate drug cravings. Therapy is introduced at this time as well because unwanted thoughts and emotions can come up as the drugs leave your system. MAT is effective and will greatly reduce your risk of relapsing in the future.

Drug Rehab in Yorba Linda
In drug rehab at Resurgence, you will live in our rehab center for 30 to 90 days in a safe and structured environment. We will work with you to find out your needs, goals, and budget and help create a program that will work for you and help you to become the person you want to be when you leave rehab. Resurgence provides integrated treatment, and we work to get to the root of your addiction while building you up and helping you fill in the gaps, teaching skills, and giving sobriety tools that will last you a lifetime.
How Much Does Rehab Cost?
At Resurgence, we want to make rehab services available to anybody who needs it, so we will work alongside you to customize a program that will suit your budget and needs. We take most major insurance plans, and we can also create a payment plan for our cash customers. Contact us today to find out more or get a quote.
How Long is Detox?
The length of detox is dependent on many factors, including your physical and mental health when you enter the program, what drug you are detoxing from, how long you have been using it, and how much you have been using each time.
In general, withdrawal symptoms usually show up between two to six hours after your last use, and they steadily increase in intensity until you hit the 72-hour mark. After your symptoms peak, you will gradually feel better every day until you are stable enough to enter inpatient rehab. When you enter our program we can go over exactly what to expect before we get started on any treatments, so there will be no surprises for you.
How Long is Rehab?
At Resurgence, we customize our treatment plans to suit each of our patients’ different needs. This means we will assess your level of addiction, find out what your future goals are, assess your physical and mental health, and then recommend a treatment length that we think will be best for you.

30 Day (Short Term Rehab)
The minimum recommended stay in inpatient rehab is 30 days. With our integrated treatments, we aim to get to the root of your addiction, not just treat the symptoms, and this takes time. You will spend a full month with us in behavioral therapy, group sessions, counseling, learning life skills, and getting stronger through exercise and nutritional counseling. You will also have plenty of time to relax and reflect, and we offer entertainment like movie nights and off-site outings as well.
Long Term Rehab (60-90 Days)
For people with a history of relapsing, people with co-occurring mental health issues, or for anybody who may need extra time with us, we offer 60- and 90-day rehab programs. This extended time away from your regular triggers and issues will give you space to look at life from a new perspective. You will be surrounded by peers going through something similar to you in a community-oriented atmosphere, and you will be able to really work on yourself and your recovery skills before going back out into the world. The longer you spend in our facilities, the lower your chance is of relapsing.
Additional Therapies & Addiction Treatments Available
Resurgence offers a large number of options you can choose from so that your rehab program suits your interests and your needs, and you will remain engaged in your treatments. These include:
Couples Rehab
At Resurgence, we offer couples rehab as an option for those couples who have begun to find themselves only enjoying each others’ company when under the influence or are noticing an emotional distance between them due to addiction.
Couples rehab can help you if you and your partner are:
- Fighting about drug use, money, and neglect of daily responsibilities
- Covering for each other when hungover, drunk or high, or making excuses for their inappropriate behavior
- Feeling the need to use drugs to feel close to your partner
- Experiencing blurred boundaries or domestic violence, or other behaviors you wouldn’t normally tolerate
- Feeling isolated from social support like friends and family
You can enter rehab together, then go through individual and couples therapy sessions, so you can work on your own issues with addiction, and strengthen your relationship and become each other’s support system at the same time.

Pet Friendly Rehab
Pets are a huge part of our life and having to choose to leave a pet with someone else while at rehab can be difficult. At Resurgence, we have removed this barrier to entry by allowing pets to come with you. On top of the companionship and unconditional love they provide, animals have also been proven to lower heart rates, help with feelings of stress and depression, and provide a sense of self-worth to their owners.
Does My Insurance Have Coverage for Rehab?
Under the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA) and the Affordable Care Act (ACA) of 2010, mental health and addiction services are counted as essential health benefits. This means your insurance should cover treatments and medications with us. At Resurgence, we take most insurance plans and are happy to work with you to ensure you are covered for as much treatment as possible, but you should have a conversation with your provider about your specific plan to find out what exactly is covered. We can also help create a payment plan for you if you do not have insurance or need to pay cash.
MAT
Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) is a program to make detoxing safer and more comfortable through the use of FDA-approved medications at prescription doses. These medications will not get you high or create a new addiction, but they will ensure you can rest without strong drug cravings as you detox.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) focuses on the underlying causes of substance abuse by getting to the root of your addiction. You will find the reasons for your drug or alcohol abuse, and then learn new, more positive ways to cope with issues. The focus of CBT is treating underlying behaviors and emotional disorders and then retraining the brain to avoid negative behaviors. CBT is useful for treating co-occurring disorders alongside addiction because it helps with a variety of mental disorders like trauma, depression, and anxiety.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is a type of cognitive-behavioral therapy that emphasizes the psychosocial aspects of substance abuse. DBT will help you understand the social and emotional reasons for using drugs or alcohol. It will then help you replace your negative emotions and behaviors with positive ones, and help you to change self-destructive behaviors into positive actions. DBT works well with co-occurring mental health disorders like trauma, anxiety, and depression, as these disorders can be connected with the same underlying causes of addiction.
Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT)
Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy is a logical form of therapy that focuses on your perspective of an issue. For addiction, REBT provides education on living a better and more fulfilling life without substance abuse, challenging patients about their own thoughts and responses, and their emotions that relate to addiction, by using logical, positive responses.
Dual Diagnosis Treatment
Dual Diagnosis Treatment is the treatment of more than one (co-occurring) disorder at the same time. This is usually a substance use disorder, coupled with a mental health issue. Co-occurring disorders are common, as a person with a mental illness may try to self-medicate, using drugs or alcohol to feel better. Alcohol can interfere with mental health prescriptions, and some drugs may trigger a mental health crisis. Co-occurring disorders impact one another, and may sometimes have the same root cause, so at Resurgence, we treat them together at the same time.
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a way to reprocess a traumatic event in a safe environment. The idea behind EMDR is that something in your brain has been unable to process a traumatic event properly, so re-examining it in a safe space, until it is no longer psychologically disruptive, can help you gain insight into the event and your thoughts surrounding it, and can help your brain properly file the memory away where it belongs.

Relapse Prevention
Even if you are feeling strong and ready to use your new recovery skills when you leave rehab, once you are back home, you may feel the same triggers and temptations returning and need extra help remaining sober. At Resurgence, we have ways to help you stay on track and avoid relapsing.
1. You can join our Partial Hospitalization Program, where you live outside of our facility but come back during full days to continue your therapy, groups, and another programming. You can use the PHP up to seven days a week if you need to.
2. For a more flexible outpatient experience you can join an Intensive Outpatient Program, which is therapy and groups that are scheduled outside your day-to-day responsibilities, so you can go back to work or school but still have full support whenever you need it.
3. Our alumni network is there for you 24 hours a day. You can find them online anytime, and they have frequent gatherings and meetings where you can go and hang out, make friends, and just enjoy life with sober people.
4. We can connect you with a sober living home in your area if you need a more structured environment to move into for a while. These homes are all different but will keep you sober and offer support to you as you transition back to life outside rehab.
Life-Skills Training
At Resurgence, we have many life-skills training options you can choose from. These are a set of abilities you will need to navigate life’s challenges. They can help you make decisions, handle problems, communicate clearly, and take responsibility for your own life.
Some of the specific areas we cover are self-management and going to work, social skills, cleaning, and drug resistance skills. Although they may sound like basic skills, at times people have not been in a living situation that has taught them how to live autonomously, maintain a normal routine or take care of their body with healthy food, exercise, and hygiene. The life skills training offered at Resurgence will ensure you are confident in all areas of life and ready to live independently, without needing to rely on others.
Vocational Training
To truly be able to live independently, you will have to be able to get a job. Working is the key to self-sufficiency and will keep you busy and on track in your sobriety after you leave rehab.
Many people who have struggled with addiction may have never been in the workforce or held a full-time job before because employment has not been a focus in their life. As time goes by, this knowledge gap becomes an issue, as people assume you know how to write a resume or what to say in an interview. In our life skills training program, we will catch you up on all the basics, so you will be able to get a job and be a good, long-term, reliable employee.
Working will not only help you establish financial independence, but it will also give structure to your days, and help you meet new people, and work on your social skills.
Group Therapy
Group therapy is a type of psychotherapy that is done with groups of patients discussing problems or issues under the supervision of one or more therapists or psychologists. Groups are an excellent place to meet like-minded people who can hold you accountable for your actions. Talking and listening to others helps put things into perspective, and it can be a relief to hear that other people are struggling with similar issues to you. It is also a good way to see how others handle their problems, and the group can brainstorm to help each other find solutions. Groups are a good way to work on communication skills, develop self-awareness, and gain new coping strategies.

Experiential Therapy
Experiential therapy uses expressive tools and activities to have patients re-experience emotional situations from the past. You will do an activity, like art or role-playing, during therapy and begin to identify underlying emotions as they come up. This therapy works under the premise that perception determines behavior, so when these emotions come up, and you are doing a neutral or positive activity, your emotional responses can be re-framed.
One on One Therapy
Individual therapy is time with your therapist, used to improve quality of life and to get help when you are feeling overwhelmed, unhappy, or hopeless. Your therapist can help you work through issues that are causing distress or interfering with everyday life, and they can help you identify the underlying causes of your symptoms, providing strategies to stop unwanted thoughts and behaviors. Therapy can help you develop healthy coping skills.
Family Therapy
Family therapy is short-term counseling to help family members improve communication, improve troubled relationships, work through conflicts, and help any situation that causes grief or anger. The purpose of family therapy is to provide skills for the family to use long after therapy is over, to help you understand each other better and bring you closer together.
Trauma Informed Therapy (After PTSD)
At Resurgence, we recognize the fact that nearly everybody with addiction has likely had a bad experience in their past when it comes to feeling vulnerable, feeling out of control, or being around medical professionals. Our caring staff is educated on the signs of trauma, and we will avoid re-traumatization, ensuring you always feel safe and listened to in our care.
People with PTSD deserve to be treated with respect. We want our patients to be empowered and informed, so we employ transparent and open decision-making. We always get informed consent before moving forward with any treatments. The goal is that you are an engaged collaborator in your treatment process.

Physical Fitness
Exercise is a healthy sober activity that can reduce stress, improve mental health, and reduce the risk of relapsing for people in recovery. Working out can distract you from cravings, help you work through emotions in a positive way, and it can add structure to your day. You can meet new, sober friends who are interested in fitness through sports or joining a gym, and you may form new, positive social connections.
At Resurgence, we have a gym and nutritional therapy, and you can also join a game of volleyball or basketball, or play cornhole and ping pong. When used in combination with therapy, medication, and other treatments, exercise can have a positive effect on your body and your spirit.
Off Site Activities
At Resurgence, we have an open community, with plenty to do on campus, but we know that sometimes a change of scenery can do you good. This is why we invite our clients to off-site activities. Some of these activities may include trips to local attractions or nature spots, or to a fun activity like bowling. There is also the option to go attend church on Sundays.
Why Choose Resurgence
At Resurgence, we use a “whole patient” approach to treating our patients. We know that everybody is unique, and the best way to create a sustained recovery is to keep each patient engaged and interested in the process.
We use an integrated treatment process that helps deal with the intertwined nature of mental health issues and addiction and gets to the root of the issue, while at the same time giving you the tools to deal with everyday stress and triggers that you will undoubtedly encounter in life.

Yorba Linda (Spanish for “Beautiful Yorba”) is a suburban city in Orange County, California, located southeast of Downtown Los Angeles. The city is part of the Los Angeles metropolitan area, according to the US Census. According to the last census, its population was 64,234.
Yorba Linda is considered one of the wealthiest cities in the US. Its median income is $117,368, and homes in the city have an average price of $781,500. The city is mostly suburban, characterized by residential family neighborhoods, commercial centers, and parklands.
The drug problem has also touched this 20-square-mile community, albeit at a smaller scale. According to the Orange County Health Care Agency, the city had 162 cases of opioid-related emergency department visits between 2011 and 2015, or 32 yearly. During the same period, it registered 20 overdose-related deaths, averaging four deaths a year.

What The Community is Doing
Orange County offers several public education, treatment, and counseling services aimed at reducing the misuse of drugs and alcohol. To support these educational initiatives, the local government host events to provide a safe and responsible way for residents to dispose of unused prescription medication.
Moreover, medical personnel and paramedics have administered over 1,500 doses of Naloxone to unconscious and unresponsive victims of a suspected opioid overdose to help reverse the effects of the narcotics they took.
Addiction Problems
For some, the addictions begin with teenage experimentation. Teens try drugs or alcohol as part of a pattern of teenage curiosity or rebellion. In time, they find they can no longer control when they use drugs or how much they take.
For others, addictions begin due to workplace pressures. They lean on substances to help them cope with their jobs and the struggles they must deal with every day. In time, drugs become a critical part of life that they have no control over.
No matter how your addiction began, there are treatments available that can help you get control once more. There are publicly funded and charitable programs that can provide help for free, and there are private-pay options that offer similar support.
