Alcohol Rehab Centers to Seek Professional Help
Alcohol rehab centers seek to reduce the amount of destruction caused by untreated alcohol addictions.
Addiction is a very common problem, and alcohol addiction, in particular, is a common, preventable cause of death.
Yet, only a small percentage of people with an alcohol use disorder seek treatment.
This is, in part, due to the fact that alcohol is such a normalized substance.
When someone abuses alcohol, it may take an accident, alcohol poisoning, or drastically uncharacteristic or criminal behavior for that individual or others around them to realize that it may be time to seek professional help.
Alcohol Rehab Centers
Alcohol accounts for about 88,000 preventable deaths each year, including those caused by accidents driving and otherwise, overdoses as well as related medical conditions.
Additionally, 31% of all driving fatalities are alcohol-related. Alcohol addictions are often passed through families, making it difficult to avoid.
This especially true if you are exposed at an early age or continue to live with other addicted individuals after you’ve developed an addiction of your own.
But what is even more troubling is that alcohol addiction rarely occurs alone.
Alcohol Abuse and Mental Health Issues
Dual Diagnosis or addictions in individuals with underlying mental health disorders can make the recovery process a bit more complicated. In these instances, professional help becomes even more important.
Alcohol rehab centers like the one we have at Resurgence Behavioral Health can address alcohol addictions, first and foremost, but can also address underlying mental health issues.
When it comes to choosing the right program, you have several options, but inpatient and outpatient are two of the most common.
Inpatient Alcohol Rehab Centers
Inpatient alcohol rehab centers are often recommended for individuals with an addiction severe enough to require the assistance of a medical detox.
Severe addictions often mean severe withdrawal symptoms, so a supervised, comfortable, and safe setting can be very beneficial in these cases.
Additionally, patients without a support group at home or with heavy environmental pressures and triggers that are difficult to avoid may prefer inpatient alcohol rehab.
When you move to an inpatient alcohol rehab center, your new setting provides a level of safety and comfort that helps eliminate distractions, pressures, temptations, harmful influences, and other factors that may be detrimental to your recovery process.
You’ll have support at any time of day or night, other patients with similar addictions to lean on, no chance to relapse, and a structured and reliable system you can count on.
This choice generally provides a higher success rate because 24-hour care provides exceptional mental, physical, and medical support.
Outpatient Alcohol Rehab
However, we recognize that not all patients are free to choose inpatient care, which is why we also offer outpatient options.
Outpatient care is a bit less disruptive to daily responsibilities since you’ll visit the facility several times per week for treatment but you’ll return home each time.
This means that you can alter your work hours to fit treatment in, care for family members, and remain in the comfort of your own home if that is what works better for you.
If you’re not sure which option would be better for you, please call us to discuss your options with one of our admissions coordinators.
Alcohol Rehab Center Costs
Ultimately, the cost of your alcohol rehab center treatment will depend on many factors. Inpatient vs outpatient, the length of your stay, number of addictions, treatments needed, necessary medications, detox, and more may alter the final costs.
It is difficult to provide final cost information without information from you first because we customize each treatment plan based on what each patient needs and what the details of their addictions are.
However, there are many ways to get the treatment you need and cost should never deter you.
Insurance Coverage for Alcohol Rehab Centers Care for alcohol and drug addictions is essential and is therefore covered by many health insurance providers.
Resurgence happily accepts most insurance providers, including but not limited to:
- Assurant Health
- Vista Insurance Partners
- Humana
- Ameritas Group
- Health Net
- Cigna
- Horizon Blue Cross
- Premera Blue Cross
- Regence Blue Cross
- BlueCross BlueShield
If you have insurance through one of the providers listed above or another health insurance, please call for your free insurance verification.
We’ll speak with your insurance company to see if we can get all or some of your treatment covered for you.
If you have partial coverage or no coverage at all, we’ll still work with you to get you the treatment you need.
We accept multiple payment options and will work with you to develop a convenient payment plan to help break up the costs.
Time Needed for Alcohol Rehab Centers
The amount of time that you spend in treatment will depend on your addictions and other individual factors, as well as whether you choose inpatient or outpatient care.
Residential inpatient treatment in an alcohol rehab center lasts, on average, from 28 days to six months. However, we also offer 9 month, 12 step, and extended stay options, as well as aftercare planning and services.
The amount of time it takes for you to feel confident in your recovery will vary and we want to be there for as long as it takes. Outpatient alcohol rehab center programs, on the other hand, may require attendance for a year or more.
Because you’re not living in the facility, these programs are a bit less structured and you spend less time in treatment.
For these reasons and a few others, you may need to stay in treatment longer to achieve similar results. Outpatient programs generally require 10 to 12 hours of your time each week.
Alcohol Rehab Treatment Methods
Therapy is a large part of most addiction treatment plans. At Resurgence, we implement a variety of proven and effective therapeutic methods.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT is one that can be highly beneficial in understanding feelings, behaviors, and ways of thinking that are related to your addiction and underlying concerns.
This therapy method works to improve these things and shows that facing destructive patterns head-on may be the best way to fix them.
Additionally, we offer single sessions, family therapy, group sessions, support groups, and other counseling methods.
Outside of therapy, you will have access to classes and seminars that teach you about managing stress and other common feelings in addictions, choosing healthy foods and habits, and managing your physical health with fitness classes.
