How Long is Detox?
The symptoms of withdrawal and the detox timeframe will vary depending on factors like what the drug is, the length of usage, and your medical history. Every person is different, and each drug will affect the body differently. In general terms, you will be in detox for at least 5 days, up to a few weeks, until your body and mental health are stable enough to enter an inpatient rehab program. Your withdrawal symptoms will begin within a few hours or days from your last use and will gradually get worse until a peak that usually happens at around the 72-hour mark, after which you will begin to feel a little better every day. Through medical detox, we will make sure you are comfortable and safe, with the option of medications being administered if needed.
How Long is Rehab?
At Resurgence, we have many paths you can take. We have 30-, 60-, and 90-day inpatient rehab programs, and we have a spectrum of outpatient services as well. Although a minimum of 30 days of inpatient care is usually preferred, we can work with you to figure out what is best for your unique situation.
30 Day (short term rehab)
The minimum amount of time recommended for inpatient rehab is 30 days, as it takes about that much time to be able to cement new habits, create a new mindset for yourself and gain perspective on things. You will have a full month away from the everyday triggers and stress of your life and will be able to reprogram your brain through cognitive behavioral therapy, learn new coping skills and deal with the underlying trauma and reasons for your addiction.
Long Term Rehab (60-90 Days)
In long-term rehab, you will live in our facility for 60 to 90 days, gaining all the skills and recovery tools you will need to be able to move on from your addiction with confidence once rehab is over.
