What is the Process of Going to Drug Rehab Like?

Individualized treatment programs delivered in a comfortable, relaxed setting promote healing in your recovery journey.

The Intake Process

The first step in your overall recovery is going through our intake process. The reason why this is so important is due to the fact that it gives our team the opportunity to get to learn more about you and the struggles that you have had. This will also give you the chance to learn more about what to expect at a drug rehab program. There are certain times where potential clients are unable to go through the process without the help of a friend or family member. Our team will always take the time to speak to your loved ones on your behalf so that you can get the help that you need.

The First 72 Hours

The first 72 hours of sobriety can often be the most difficult for clients due in large part to the fact that this is during the time that withdrawal symptoms may set in. This is greatly dependent on the severity of your addiction as well as your drug of choice. Withdrawal symptoms can set in within the first few hours of your sobriety and last up to a week with the worst of these symptoms manifesting within the first three days. When you come to our treatment center, you can rest assured that we will monitor your symptoms around the clock to ensure that you remain in good health.

Midway Through Treatment

It’s possible for you to feel cravings or feelings of uncertainty in your decision at any point during treatment, but this is particularly true midway through treatment. Although these feelings may come in cycles, our recovery team will help you to navigate these feelings so that you don’t give in to the temptation of ending treatment to satisfy them.

Nearing the End of Residential Treatment

As you near the end of residential treatment, a leading focus toward the end of your residential program will be relapse prevention. When it comes to what to expect at a drug rehab program at this stage, it will be to strengthen the tools that you have learned throughout the course of your time at our facility. We will also speak with you more about participating in our aftercare program which can provide you with another level of support as you continue on in your recovery journey.

Discharge and Aftercare

After you successfully complete your treatment program, we will take you through the discharge process. We strongly encourage our clients that completed a treatment program to remember that the best way to ensure that you keep your sobriety intact is through participating in 12-step programs and building your system of support so you can lean on the right people if you’re struggling at some point in the future.
