Best Detox & Rehab Center for Addiction for Residents of Arizona
People become addicted to drugs and alcohol for many different reasons. Some people may have experienced a traumatic event and some people have genetic predispositions. Some people began drinking to cope with stress and some people began using hard drugs because they became addicted to RX medications for an injury. Some people were trying to self-medicate for mental health issues, and some people grew up around drug use, so it has been normalized for them.
Whatever caused the addiction to begin, at Resurgence, we will help you get to the root of your addiction through an integrated combination of group and individual therapy, counseling, and education. We will use dual diagnosis treatments if you show signs of any mental illness or other co-occurring conditions like PTSD, treating them at the same time as your addiction using the same medical team in the same location, at the same time. This way, we will be able to address the interconnected issues that cause mental health and addiction disorders.
Resurgence is the best detox and rehab center for addiction for residents of Arizona because of our amazing staff, our clinical team, our therapy options, our process groups, and our unique life skills classes.
Our staff is highly trained and professional, and many of them are in recovery themselves, having been through a similar detox and rehab program to you, so they will know a bit about what you are going through. They are empathetic and genuinely want to help you get sober. We have a strong, highly educated team of psychiatric care, counselors, and clinical workers, including nursing staff. Our head RN is a certified addictions nurse. We will ensure you remain safe while in our care.
Our therapy options are extensive and cover all types of behavioral and therapeutic modalities. Some of the therapies we offer include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, one-on-one talk therapy, family and couples therapy, experiential therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
Our process groups are varied and cover topics like anger management, relapse prevention skills, communication skills, emotional regulation, and stress reduction. Our life skills classes were created because we know that addiction can limit the way people perceive their future. Many times, the addiction becomes the only thing that matters in life, and people with addictions stop creating new goals for themselves and therefore stop caring about learning about things like finding a job, creating a schedule, or maintaining basic hygiene and house cleaning. We will fill in the gaps where you need it, so you will be able to move out of rehab and live independently without needing to depend on anybody to live a regular life as a sober person.

Why Choose Resurgence
At Resurgence, we use a trauma-informed methodology for all care. This means we take every patient’s entire life into account when they begin treatment with us. We know that the best results are achieved when our patients trust us and are active participants in their own healing. We will work to gain your trust and keep it. Many people with addiction issues have been through some very hard times, and our staff is trained to look for signs of trauma and to avoid re-traumatization throughout your treatment. We will never surprise you with anything or make you do anything you don’t want to do. All care will be discussed openly with you, and we will answer any questions you have and make sure you know exactly what to expect before doing anything. All care will only be given with informed consent from you, and we will make sure you feel heard throughout your treatment.
At Resurgence, all our programs are customizable and tailored to you. We will get to know you as a person and personalize your care according to your needs and preferences, your budget, and we will help you figure out a plan that will best meet your goals, both for overcoming addiction, and your future outside of rehab.
Alcohol Detox Program
The first step when you detox from alcohol is to stop drinking. When you decide to begin an alcohol detox, you should ensure you are supervised by medical professionals, because there is a chance that your withdrawal symptoms can change from mild to intense or even life-threatening very quickly.
Alcohol is one of the more dangerous substances to quit due to the possibility of delirium tremens (DTs). The DTs may include symptoms like excessive sweating and high fever, agitation, confusion, hallucinations, seizures, heart issues, and even death in some cases.
At Resurgence, we offer a Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) program that will keep you safe and help you deal with alcohol cravings and the uncomfortable flu-like symptoms that can accompany any detox through a combination of prescription medications, therapy, and medical care. We will help you with co-occurring conditions like mental health issues or PTSD at this time as well as using a dual diagnosis treatment. At the end of the day, our goal is to ensure you do not suffer, and that you get through this necessary process as quickly and painlessly as possible, so you can move on to rehab.

Drug Detox Program
Detoxing from drugs is the first step to a full recovery, and the proven, most successful means of detoxing with long-term results is a medical drug detox program. Our Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) program is especially recommended for people who are addicted to substances with harsh withdrawal symptoms, like opiates and meth. We will ensure you remain safe, hydrated, and eating nutritious food as the drugs leave your system. The prescription medications given are FDA-approved and will help with drug cravings and other symptoms, without getting you high or creating a new addiction. MAT is proven to reduce the risk of relapse.
We will also introduce groups and therapy at this time to help you deal with any emotional or psychological issues that may come up. Mental health is an important part of any person’s detox and rehab program, and we will screen you prior to beginning treatment to find out if you require a dual diagnosis treatment, so we can take care of it altogether, at the same time.
Once you are feeling strong and ready to move on, we will seamlessly transition you into a residential rehab program in the same facility, so you can begin the next phase of treatment.
Alcohol Rehab for Residents of Arizona
Once your detox period is over, you can move into our alcohol rehab program. This is an integrated program, combining both individual and group therapy with education, life skills, and vocational skills training, nutrition and exercise, counseling, and recreation.
You will live in our residential rehab facility, staying in a comfortable, home-like room with a full-sized bed (not a hospital bed). You will have a TV, and smoking is allowed in designated areas. We also allow pets in our facility. Our onsite chef will prepare fresh and healthy meals each day, with a special hot breakfast on Sundays. We have snacks like cookies and chips available at any time.
During the day you will be scheduled to attend therapy and medical appointments, and plenty of groups and educational programs. Your days will be structured so you will always know what you should be doing, and so that every day you spend with us is worthwhile and useful to you.
The evenings are free for you to relax and reflect upon what you’ve learned in the day. There are also exercise facilities, sports, games, movie nights, and other recreational activities and off-site outings for you to participate in during your free time if you want. Our community-oriented facility is built to foster sober friendships and to ensure each of our patients has plenty of time to rest and relax.
After your rehab program is complete, we will help you figure out what kind of outpatient and aftercare program will best suit your needs. We have a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) that offers full days of programming as you live at home, treating outpatient care as your full-time job, or we have the Intensive Outpatient Program you can join, a more flexible program that will work around your life, work schedule, or other responsibilities you may have, with therapy and groups in the evenings. Whichever program you choose, we can customize it to best suit you and it can change alongside you as your needs evolve.

Drug Rehab for Residents of Arizona (How does it work and what is it like?)
At Resurgence we take a “whole patient” approach, meaning we get to know you as a person instead of seeing you as just an addiction that needs to be solved. We will get to know you as a person and help you decide which treatments will best suit your needs while fitting your personality, your goals, and your budget.
You will move into our drug rehab center for a minimum of 30 days to ensure you have the time and space away from the stresses of your life, your friends and family, and everything else you would normally have to worry about, so you can focus completely on yourself and your recovery.
Each day is structured and planned out for you by our expert staff, so that you can maximize your time with us, learning recovery and coping skills that will last you a lifetime. Therapy, counseling, and educational programs will fill your days, alongside medical care and psychological treatments if necessary. In the evenings you will have free time to play games, watch TV or movies, meet up with others or rest. You are also invited to join our offsite outings to local nature spots or attractions.
Once your inpatient rehab program ends, we will work with you to create an aftercare program that will best benefit you and help you meet your long-term sobriety goals.
How Much Does Rehab Cost?
Many people will have to weigh the cost of rehab with the cost of addiction for themselves. If you think about how much your income suffers, along with how much your health care costs in the future will be due to drug and alcohol use, along with how much money is spent per year on these substances, it may be less expensive to spend some time in rehab. Not to mention the emotional and spiritual toll addiction takes on you and those around you.
At Resurgence, the cost of rehab depends on many variables, like how long you spend with us and which programs you use, but we will work it all out with you beforehand and customize a program that fits into your budget. We also offer payment plans, and we work with most PHP insurance providers, as we believe that rehab should be available to anyone who needs it.

How Long is Detox?
The time you need to spend in detox depends on factors like:
- What drug you were taking
- How long were you taking it?
- Were you mixing it with other drugs or alcohol?
- The method of drug use (oral ingestion, snorting, injecting, smoking)
- How much were you taking at a time?
- Your physical health at the time you enter detox
- Your mental health at the time you enter detox
- Your individual genetics and metabolism
- Your level of motivation
- Your history of drug use and relapse
The amount of time varies in detox, but in very general terms, we can say that the drugs or alcohol will begin to leave your system immediately after your last use of the substance, and you will begin to feel withdrawal symptoms in two to six hours in most cases. These symptoms will start out mild, and then progress, gradually becoming more difficult and uncomfortable for a few days, usually peaking at around the 72-hour mark. After the worst of it is over, you will feel better each day as you recover and stabilize.
Medical detox is important during this time, as it is the safest and most effective method. Stopping the use of drugs or alcohol suddenly is not recommended, especially without medical supervision, as the body can experience shock symptoms. In our detox program at Resurgence, we will keep you safe and as comfortable as possible, monitor your withdrawal symptoms 24/7, and provide the option for medications as needed. Our goal is that nobody should have to suffer.
How Long is Rehab?
The rehab programs at Resurgence are designed to be flexible and customizable so that we can mold each patient’s program to suit them specifically. We offer 30-, 60- and 90-day inpatient programs, with 30 days being the minimum recommended stay. Residential care is beneficial when overcoming the addiction because you will be living in a safe and sober place away from all the usual people, stress, and triggers that would normally cause you to want to use drugs or drink. You will have time away to think while living in a community of peers with similar goals to you, and you will be able to focus on yourself and your own recovery and healing.
We encourage our patients to stay in residential rehab for as long as they need. You will not be pushed to move too quickly into outpatient care. When you are ready, we have outpatient and aftercare programs that can last you a lifetime if you want. We will always be here for you, and you will never be alone in your recovery.

30-Day (Short Term Rehab)
In our short-term, 30-day rehab program, you will have access to 24-hour medical and emotional support to help you with the transition after detox. Our staff will guide you as you attend therapy sessions, and work to gain the skills you will need to go back out into your life as a sober person. Resurgence is a community-oriented facility that offers structured daily living, exercise facilities, and nutritional support. You will be living amongst peers who are going through a similar experience to you, working toward your own individual sobriety and life goals. You will have a full month to work on yourself and your recovery. A 30-day stay at Resurgence will greatly reduce your risk of relapsing.
Long Term Rehab (60-90 Days)
Long-term rehab is recommended for those who feel they need extra time in rehab, and for people with a history of relapsing or who are dealing with a co-occurring mental health condition. You can plan for the 60- or 90-day program, where you will stay in our safe and sober facility, attending therapy sessions and groups, meeting with medical professionals, and gaining life and vocational skills through our educational sessions. You will be eating healthy food and exercising, with guidance from professionals to ensure your body is also healing as you do the work to get to the root of your addiction. With our expert staff and top-tier amenities, the longer you stay in residential care at Resurgence, the lower your risk of relapsing will be.

Couples Rehab
It is common for couples to begin drinking or using drugs together, or to meet each other socially through activities involving drinking and drugs, and then wonder why their relationship is suffering. Addiction can cause even the most dedicated couples to have an emotional distance over time, even if both parties are committed to the relationship and one another.
Some signs couples’ rehab may be a good move for you and your partner include:
- Fights about money and drug use
- Neglect of daily responsibilities like childcare or housework, or missing work will begin to happen, causing resentment
- One partner often stays out late partying, causing the other to feel neglected, left out, or stuck with all the chores and work
- Feeling like you miss your partner when they are right beside you, or that you don’t enjoy spending time with them unless you are drunk or high
- Domestic violence or other blurred boundaries that you would have never accepted before
- Feeling like you have to use drugs or drink to feel close with your partner, express physical love, or talk about your relationship together
- Isolation from support systems like friends and family
- If you and/or your partner find yourselves exploiting others emotionally or financially for money
- Enabling each other by covering up for them when they miss work or are hungover, interfering with law enforcement or other authorities on their behalf, blaming others for their behavior, covering up for sneaky behavior, or prioritizing the addiction over important life events or people in your life
Couples’ rehab is an option at Resurgence so you and your partner can rehabilitate together as a team. You will first do our medical detox program and then move into our inpatient rehab clinic for a minimum of 30 days. You will work on getting to the root of your own addiction as your partner does the same, and then you will come together for couples’ therapy.
Couples’ therapy can help you avoid entering a cycle of more substance abuse. It can prevent further damage to your relationship, emotional distance, and more financial loss. Some of the benefits of couples’ rehab include:
- A higher chance of abstaining from drugs and alcohol as you work together to stay sober
- A built-in support system, with somebody, always there for you even if relapse occurs
- A lower chance of fighting, abuse, and separation or divorce
- Learning to communicate with each other effectively
- A higher level of satisfaction in your relationship
- Working on self-control, and learning about triggers, codependency, and enabling behaviors
If you and your partner are ready and willing to begin looking at your relationship honestly, and ready to get sober and begin your life together again, couples’ rehab may be a good choice for you. We will help you gain a more communicative, happier, and healthier relationship, and you will find new ways to live your best lives without drugs or alcohol getting in your way.
Pet Friendly Rehab
Resurgence is a pet-friendly rehab facility. Pet boarding is expensive, and sometimes it feels like a huge burden asking somebody to babysit your animal, plus you want to be there to ensure they are being taken care of properly.
There is no reason for you to have to stress out about where your beloved animal friend will go when you enter inpatient rehab with Resurgence because you can bring them with you. We believe that animals offer benefits to addiction treatment like:
- Animals can lower heart rate and blood pressure
- Pets provide companionship, emotional support, and unconditional love
- Walking a dog will increase your physical activity and socialization
- Animals can improve mental states of being and provide stress relief
- People with pets around have improved feelings of self-worth and purpose
Bring your animal with you to rehab with Resurgence. We will be happy to meet them.

Does My Insurance Have Coverage for Rehab?
Your insurance will cover rehab in most cases because addiction and mental health issues are medical diseases and are covered under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) of 2010, and the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA) as essential health benefits.
It is best to check with your service provider about which specific treatments and medications are covered under your plan before entering a program so there are no surprises later.
Sober Friendly Attractions in Arizona
Antelope Canyon
This is an amazing geological formation, known as a ‘slot canyon’. The upper canyon is a narrow passage through 120-foot high walls, and the lower is more shallow and v-shaped. This area is only accessible by guided tour but is worth the trip.

Have dinner in a 345-million-year-old cave that’s 200 feet underground in the Grand Canyon Caverns. This is a four-table eatery with amazing cave views and no intrusions from other tourists. You can also explore the surrounding areas after dinner.
