Alcohol Detox Program

It is important to never try and detox from alcohol at home, without medical care and oversight. Alcohol detox can range from mild to very dangerous, and this escalation to severe consequences can happen very quickly. Withdrawal symptoms can start mild, with:

  • Headache
  • Nightmares
  • Irritability
  • Brain fog
  • Sweating
  • Tremors
  • Insomnia

These can increase to more severe issues like seizures or delirium tremens, a set of dangerous withdrawal symptoms that can include agitation and confusion, high fevers, hallucinations, and brain activity that can be fatal if not treated medically.

At Resurgence, we have a Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) program for detoxing from drugs and alcohol that involves 24-hour clinical care, with somebody always available if you need them. Our team can provide you with FDA-approved prescription medications to help you rest, stay comfortable and avoid seizures and other dangerous symptoms. You will live inside our detox center, and during the day be treated by registered nurses who will ensure your medications are working as they should, and everything is progressing nicely. We also provide counseling and therapy during MAT, so that you can begin to address psychological and mental health issues, trauma, pain, and the underlying causes of addiction.

Drug Detox Program

Detoxing from drugs can be an intimidating prospect. You have likely seen movie scenes or heard horror stories from peers about withdrawal from this or that drug, causing you to dread going through the process for yourself.

The truth is that drug detox is not easy, but with our help in a MAT program, you will not have to suffer at all. We can keep you safe, stop drug cravings, help you rest and ensure you are not in pain or discomfort. Our therapists and counselors will help you work through anxiety, stress, and unwanted emotional responses, and we can start dual diagnosis treatments for anybody who has a co-occurring mental health condition like depression, generalized anxiety, borderline personality disorder, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and ADHD.

Medical detox is especially helpful for those who are stopping drugs such as meth, benzodiazepines like Klonopin or Ativan, or opiates like oxy, fentanyl, or heroin, as those drugs can be incredibly difficult, and sometimes dangerous to try and stop without medical intervention. With our help, you will be able to transition to the next level of treatment within a few weeks.

Alcohol Rehab for Residents of Lawrenceburg

Inpatient alcohol rehab is the next step after you are done with your detox program. You will move into our residential rehab in a comfortable room with a TV and a full-sized bed (not a hospital bed). You will begin an integrated program with treatments like therapy, counseling, and addiction education.

Your days will be scheduled and highly structured by our staff, with appointments, group therapy, and individual therapy. The evenings have enough free time that you will be able to enjoy the facility’s beautiful natural surroundings as you rest your body. We promote an open and welcoming community atmosphere, so you may be invited to play games or watch movies with others. After your inpatient rehab program ends, we will help you transition into an outpatient program that will work best for your life.

Drug Rehab for Residents of Lawrenceburg (How Does it Work and What is it Like?)

When you first enter rehab at a Resurgence facility, we will work with you to find out all we can about your history of substance use, we will interview you to get to know you as a person and learn what your rehab goals are, and we will do a thorough medical and psychiatric screening. All of these procedures will let us know what types of treatment will work best for you as we set up your customized rehab program.

You will move into our rehab facility for a minimum of 30 days, removing yourself from the parts of your life that may trigger a relapse, like specific people or places. You will also be living in a fully sober location, so there will be no drugs or alcohol to tempt you.

Each day in rehab you will get up in the morning to a schedule set out by our team, with days filled with therapy, groups, education, exercise, life skills programs, and more, along with plenty of free time to relax and rejuvenate yourself. The point of coming to rehab is to heal, so we want to ensure you are comfortable in our clean and safe facility.

Once your time in inpatient rehab comes to a close, we will transition you into an outpatient program that will provide all the support and care you need to meet your long-term sobriety goals. These include:

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) – full days of programming as you live at home, treating rehab as your full-time day job

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) – a customized, flexible program that can be created to work around your home life, work and school schedules, and other responsibilities. Most people will come to therapy and groups in the evenings and on weekends

Aftercare/Outpatient Programs – When you have completed your IOP, you will still benefit greatly from having a sober community to come back to when times are tough or if you feel you want extra support or a sober friend to talk to. At Resurgence, we provide alumni groups and access to 12-step and SMART recovery groups, as well as the option of making appointments with therapists and doctors for a continuation of care, ensuring you are never alone in your recovery, even years after rehab is over.

How Much Does Rehab Cost?

The amount of money rehab costs depend on factors like:

  • How much time do you spend with us
  • Which programs you partake in
  • Whether or not you need housing
  • The types of care and/or medications required

To find out the specifics of your unique rehab program, we will have to collaborate to understand your addiction and health needs, to figure out which therapies and medications you may need. You will also need to speak with your insurance provider to find out which types of treatments are covered. Our goal at Resurgence is to ensure everyone who needs rehab can get it, and we will do all we can to help you. We offer payment plans, and we can help you customize a program to best suit your needs and your budget.

How Long is Detox?

Everybody has a different experience during detox. At Resurgence, we do not try and force you into a certain timeline. We will work with you and your unique needs, making sure you remain safe and comfortable for as long as you need. You will likely be in our detox facility for 5 to 10 days, maybe more, and your withdrawal symptoms will likely peak around the third day, gradually tapering off over time.

Some of the factors that affect the timeline of an individual’s detox include:

  • How you were using the drug (smoking, snorting, injection, ingestion)
  • How long you have been using it
  • How often you were using it
  • How much you were using at one time
  • If you were mixing the drug with alcohol or other substances
  • Your physical and mental health
  • Genetic factors

Medical detox is usually recommended to our clients as it is the safest and most effective means of removing the substance from your system. Our team will do all we can to ensure you are safe and comfortable and do not suffer as you go through this difficult but necessary process. Once you are stable enough, we will seamlessly transition you into your rehab program.

How Long is Rehab?

There are two categories of inpatient rehab at Resurgence: short-term rehab and long-term rehab. Short-term rehab is best suited for those with mild addictions who are highly motivated in their recovery. Long-term rehab works better for people with co-occurring mental health conditions, people who have a history of relapsing, and people with addictions to drugs that cause greater health issues. Our facility is safe and supportive, with staff available to you day and night. Living and growing amongst peers in our sober atmosphere for 30 to 90 days will give you a better chance at long-term recovery.

30 Day (Short Term Rehab)

It has been said that it takes around 28 days to form a new habit, and at Resurgence, we believe it takes 30 days minimum to make the lifestyle changes necessary to be able to commit to lasting recovery. Through our customized therapy and counseling programs, structured daily living, health and wellness programs, and dual diagnosis treatments, you will steadily progress as you heal and grow. One month of working on yourself every day will create new, healthy habits that will stick with you, and will reduce your risk of relapsing.

Long Term Rehab (60-90 Days)

Long-term rehab programs at Resurgence are either 60 or 90 days in length and will provide you with the time you need away from your everyday life stresses, triggers, and temptations, with the space you need to gain a new perspective and focus on your health and healing without distractions. You will attend a number of different types of therapy programs, groups, and meetings, along with health and fitness education and life skills training programs, so you will be better prepared to return to your everyday life as a sober person. Our long-term programs offer full-time medical supervision to ensure those with ongoing health problems remain safe, and you will have access to emotional and mental health support whenever you need it. The longer you stay in inpatient rehab, the less likely a relapse will be.

Couples Rehab

An emotional distance can grow within a couple that drinks or uses drugs together over time. You may find that you are fighting more with your partner and that you feel like you miss your partner, even when they are in the same room as you. Even the closest relationship can suffer when substances and addiction are involved.

Some signs that couple’s rehab may be a good idea for you and your loved one include:

  • Fights about money, drug use, one partner staying out partying, or neglect of daily responsibilities like childcare or housework
  • Increased isolation from social support as drugs or alcohol take over your life
  • Often covering for a hungover partner or making excuses for them
  • Needing to use alcohol or drugs to show physical love, feel emotionally close, or talk about your relationship together
  • Feeling like the only thing you like about your spouse is using alcohol or drugs with them

Even if you are both committed and love one another, drugs and alcohol can cause damage to any relationship. A couple’s rehab can help you create a better, more communicative relationship with a higher level of satisfaction overall.

You and your partner will move into rehab together, and you will do individual therapy, detox, and other treatments individually, as well as attend couples and family counseling sessions, group therapy, life skills programs, and other treatments. Learning how to move forward in life together, without using drugs or alcohol will help you repair the damaged relationship. You will learn to avoid triggers, codependency, and enable each other, gaining self-control and accountability. Through the Resurgence couple’s rehab program, you and your partner will not just save your relationship, you will improve it, leaving rehab with a stronger, deeper, and more fulfilling partnership.

Pet Friendly Rehab

Pets are allowed at Resurgence while you are undergoing inpatient treatment. This is for two main reasons.

  1. People with pets may find that the responsibility may be a barrier to entering treatment programs. Asking a relative or friend to watch your pet may feel like a burden on them, boarding a pet in a kennel may feel traumatic and can be expensive, and you may become distracted at treatment wondering how your pet is doing.
  2. Having an animal around you during inpatient rehab can be beneficial to your recovery. This is because animals are proven to lower blood pressure and heart rate, as well as increase feelings of self-worth and purpose. Your pet can provide you with unconditional love and companionship, providing stress relief when you need it most.

Does My Insurance Have Coverage for Rehab?

Addiction and mental health issues are covered as essential health benefits under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) of 2010, and the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA) because they are medical issues. That being said, as each insurance provider offers different plans and coverage options, it is a good idea to speak with your insurance company to find out which medications and treatments it will and will not cover.
