How Long Is Detox?

The length of time that you will be in detox is dependent on a number of variables. Each individual will have their own unique detox journey and the team at Resurgence will be by your side throughout your whole detox program. The length of time that you experience withdrawal symptoms in your detox is dependent on how long you have been engaging in alcohol or drug use, the quantity of alcohol or drugs that you used at one given time, and how often you partake in substance use. If you have been using substances for a prolonged period of time, your detox time will most likely be longer than someone who just recently began their alcohol or drug use. Typically, we will see patients in a detox program for approximately 5-7 days, but, those who have been engaging in heavier drinking or drug use have the potential of experiencing withdrawal symptoms for up to 7-10 days. Patients will often feel the onset of withdrawal symptoms within 8 hours of their last drink or drug. From there, patients will feel the peak of their withdrawal symptoms between days 2-5. As you experience withdrawal symptoms, our team of nurses and physicians will monitor your symptoms and provide you with treatment that will keep you feeling comfortable and safe. Your safety is our number one concern while you are with us and our team works hard each day to ensure that your needs are being met and that your detox journey is successful and relaxing. 

How Long Is Rehab?

Resurgence values the innate differences between each patient and the need for individualized care. The length of time for your rehab stay will depend on your preference and healing needs. Some patients that have been engaging in substance use for a longer period of time may require an extended time in rehab to provide themselves enough time to engage in therapeutic sessions. If you decide you need long after you begin your rehab program, you are welcome to increase your stay by 30-day increments for a stay up to 90 days. 

30 Day (short term rehab)
