Alcohol Detox Program

Resurgence employs an expert medical team that is highly trained and qualified to provide patients with safe alcohol detox. Alcohol is a highly addictive substance that when used regularly and frequently can create a physical and emotional dependency within the person consuming it. If you attempt to end your use of alcohol on your own, it can produce unpleasant and uncomfortable side effects known as alcohol withdrawal. While some withdrawal symptoms can be manageable and produce mild or moderate side effects, if you are someone that has engaged in alcohol use for a prolonged period of time or engage in binge drinking behaviors, there is a strong possibility that you may endure severe to life-threatening withdrawal symptoms. Alcohol withdrawal side effects may present in the following ways:

  • Headaches
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Fatigue
  • Tremors
  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Mood swings
  • Elevated heart rate
  • Increased blood pressure

If you are a heavy drinker or have been engaging in long-term alcohol use, you may be at risk for experiencing delirium tremens (DT’s). This severe form of alcohol withdrawal has the potential of becoming life-threatening if not treated and monitored by an experienced medical professional. Common symptoms of DT’s are:

  • Tremors
  • Seizures
  • Confusion
  • Aggression
  • Irritability
  • Hallucinations either visual, audio or tactile
  • Impaired consciousness

The medical team at Resurgence is highly trained in the latest addiction science methods of alcohol detox. Throughout your time in alcohol detox, your progress will be monitored by our team of nurses and physicians who will make adjustments to your detox process as you go.  As withdrawal symptoms arise, you will be provided with various medical interventions whether it be through medications if needed, or holistic measures of treatment. During this time, patients often will feel a variety of emotions as they are facing their past traumas and emotions and moving towards a new life in sobriety. Our therapeutic team will be alongside you as you go through your detox process and provide you with the emotional support you need to stay on track to meet your goals of achieving recovery.

Many individuals that are preparing to enter into a drug detox program will often have questions about what they can expect from their drug detox program. Depending on your drug of choice your withdrawal symptoms will vary and additional factors such as length of time using, the frequency you use drugs, and the quantity at which you use will impact the severity of your withdrawal symptoms. Symptoms can range from moderate to severe depending on the person. Some of the most common withdrawal symptoms that patients experience can range from the following:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Fatigue
  • Insomnia
  • Tremors
  • Flu like symptoms
  • Muscle aches and pains
  • Increased heart rate/ elevated blood pressure
  • Intense drug cravings
  • Hallucinations
  • Seizures

As you experience withdrawal symptoms, our team will be checking in on you frequently by our team of medical professionals to ensure that you are feeling comfortable and relaxed. Your safety is our top priority as you move through the phases of drug detox. Depending on your drug of choice, you may be offered medication that will help aid in reducing the severity of your withdrawal symptoms. Typically, for patients that are using opioids whether it be heroin or prescription painkillers, there is the potential for severely unpleasant side effects and the use of medication will assist in keeping you relaxed and comfortable as you move through the beginning stages of your drug detox. For patients that have been using prescription drugs, there is a safety risk of quitting your drug use cold turkey as your body has become accustomed to functioning with the support of prescription drugs. Through drug detox, our medical team will monitor you as you gradually taper off of your prescription drug of choice to ensure that you are safely removing the harmful toxins of drugs while keeping your physical safety in the highest regard.

Alcohol Rehab for Residents of Tullahoma (What Is it and what is it like)

A common misconception in healing from alcohol addiction is that the only step you need to take is to simply stop drinking alcohol. While this is the necessary first step in recovering from alcohol addiction, the crucial component of alcohol rehab is gaining an understanding of the root causes of your addiction. Addiction often progresses over time and at the core of addiction are unresolved emotions or traumas from your past that have impacted your ability to remain sober. Inpatient alcohol rehab will provide you with the opportunity to engage in individual and group therapy where our counselors will help you dig deep into the emotions, thoughts, and actions that have been contributing to your addictive behaviors.  As you begin to identify what your triggers are, our compassionate counselors will assist you in developing the skills you need to avoid potential future relapses and develop a healthy daily routine that will foster your new life in sobriety.

Tullahoma residents will come to stay within our addiction treatment center to reside with other patients who share the same goal of achieving sobriety. Our treatment center has staff on shift 24 hours a day who are available to support you emotionally as you move through the emotions buried beneath your addictive behavior.

Drug Rehab for Residents of Tullahoma (How Does It Work and What Is it Like)

Drug addiction is different for each patient as each person enters into an addiction for different reasons and Resurgence values the individual circumstances that each Tullahoma resident comes to our center with. We meet with each patient before starting your drug rehab program to gain an understanding of your past with drug use and develop goals for recovery. From there, our counselors will be able to develop a personalized rehab program that incorporates our various levels of therapeutic methods to ensure that you reach your goals and effectively heal from the pains of the past to ensure a healthy, sober future.

You will reside within our addiction treatment facility where your days will be structured with individual and group therapy sessions along with skill development to complement your newfound life in recovery. Our counselors will work with you to gain an understanding of your current lifestyle and how it impacts your ability to remain sober. From there, we will work with you to identify positive supports and adjustments that need to be made within your lifestyle that will ensure you are successful in a life-based in recovery.

How Much Does Rehab Cost?

When you are ready to take the necessary steps to achieve sobriety and enter into an addiction treatment center, Resurgence provides patients with options that will meet their current circumstances and needs. We recognize that each patient’s financial situation is different and the thought of how much rehab will cost often produces feelings of anxiety and reservation. Your decision to get the help you need should be met with support and our team at Resurgence will take the time to get to know any financial constraints you may have and develop a rehab plan along with various payment options that will be sure to fit within your budget and financial means.

How Long Is Detox?

The length of time that you will be in detox is dependent on a number of variables. Each individual will have their own unique detox journey and the team at Resurgence will be by your side throughout your whole detox program. The length of time that you experience withdrawal symptoms in your detox is dependent on how long you have been engaging in alcohol or drug use, the quantity of alcohol or drugs that you used at one given time, and how often you partake in substance use. If you have been using substances for a prolonged period of time, your detox time will most likely be longer than someone who just recently began their alcohol or drug use. Typically, we will see patients in a detox program for approximately 5-7 days, but, those who have been engaging in heavier drinking or drug use have the potential of experiencing withdrawal symptoms for up to 7-10 days. Patients will often feel the onset of withdrawal symptoms within 8 hours of their last drink or drug. From there, patients will feel the peak of their withdrawal symptoms between days 2-5. As you experience withdrawal symptoms, our team of nurses and physicians will monitor your symptoms and provide you with treatment that will keep you feeling comfortable and safe. Your safety is our number one concern while you are with us and our team works hard each day to ensure that your needs are being met and that your detox journey is successful and relaxing.

How Long Is Rehab?

Resurgence values the innate differences between each patient and the need for individualized care. The length of time for your rehab stay will depend on your preference and healing needs. Some patients that have been engaging in substance use for a longer period of time may require an extended time in rehab to provide themselves enough time to engage in therapeutic sessions. Healing from past emotions and traumas takes time and you want to ensure that you are giving yourself the time you need to effectively address and process what has been at the core of your addiction all along.  We offer patients options to stay for 30, 60, or 90 days. We also recognize that when you are first embarking on your healing process it may be hard to determine how long you will need to engage in addiction treatment. If you decide you need long after you begin your rehab program, you are welcome to increase your stay by 30-day increments for a stay up to 90 days.

30 Day (short term rehab)

Tullahoma residents that are determined to put the work in with their therapy sessions and are dedicated to staying for a short-term stay while getting optimal healing will choose a 30-day rehab program. We understand that some Tullahoma patients have busy lives that cannot be put on hold for an extended period of time. 30 days provide patients with enough time to develop a new routine of health and sobriety while gaining new life skills and tools for relapse prevention and healthy sober living. Should you require more time at the end of your 30 days, you are welcome to extend your stay to 60 or 90 days.

Long Term Rehab (60-90 Days)

Tullahoma residents that are living with addiction often have many layers that have contributed to your addiction. In order to effectively address the root causes of your addiction, it requires time and dedication to therapeutic processes. A 60 or 90-day program will give you ample time to heal from your past and create new coping skills for the future that will keep you on the right track to remain sober. The longer you stay within rehab, the more you will have access to additional methods of treatment including trauma therapy and dual diagnosis treatment.

Couples Rehab

When you and your loved one are experiencing an addiction together, it creates a shift and strain on your once loving, supportive relationship. Couples often find that after addiction becomes the main focus of the relationship, you both lose sight of what brought you together, to begin with. Couples find that communication between each other becomes affected and the level of care and trust becomes undeniably strained between both parties. Resurgence encourages couples to attend our addiction treatment center for individual and couples addiction therapy. While addiction is a personal disease that affects each individual differently it is important for couples to look at their own personal motives for engaging in addictive behaviors and then look at how addiction has impacted their relationship. Our counselors will work with you to redefine what your relationship means to both individuals and develop a sense of purpose within your relationship again.

Pet Friendly Rehab

Resurgence values that supportive relationships can come from many different sources and wants to honor the different relationships that have provided you with the support you need. For many individuals, your furry family member has been a constant, unwavering support for you throughout your addiction.
