Best Detox & Rehab Center for Addiction for Residents of Pennsylvania
Addiction happens when a substance like alcohol, prescription medications, or street drugs are abused, and a physical or psychological dependence forms. You may begin using a drug every once in a while at parties, drinking on the weekends, or popping an extra pain pill when you don’t really need it to help you relax, but soon you find that you are thinking way too often about taking the next drink or how you will find more of your drug of choice. Maybe you begin to use a higher dose of the drug because it has stopped having the same effect it used to.
Addiction is when substance use becomes a problem. You may be unable to stop using the drug, you may become obsessed with finding it, or you may experience physical withdrawal symptoms when you stop drinking. People with addictions will continue using drugs or alcohol, even when it begins to damage their relationships, health, and financial situation.
If any of these scenarios sound like something you have experienced, it may be time to get help at an addiction treatment center for residents of Pennsylvania.
Resurgence is the best detox and rehab center for addiction for residents of the state of Pennsylvania. We offer a continuum that supports all levels of care, and we will take you from detox to rehab to outpatient care in one fluid, integrated program. There will be no gaps in your treatment, as all our programs happen in the same facility with the same team of doctors and clinical caregivers.

Why Choose Resurgence
The goal at Resurgence is not only to help you stop using drugs and alcohol, but also to get to the main root of your addiction so that the risk of relapsing is lowered, and so we can help you deal with any co-occurring mental health issues or PTSD you may be masking with substance abuse.
We also provide you with tools you can use far beyond rehab with behavioral therapy, counseling, and another programming. Once you walk out the doors of residential rehab you will not be cured of addiction, but you will have many more skills and a new perspective on life that will help you when things become difficult.
One of the most important things we provide for you after rehab is a continued connection to a sober network. We support our outpatients with aftercare programs that are 100% customized to fit their needs. After inpatient rehab, there will be no need to search for new doctors or therapists at any time. We will ensure you remain connected to a strong and supportive sober community for as long as you need it.
Our outpatient programs are customizable and flexible and can change as your needs evolve over time. We have the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), a day program where you live at home and commute for full days of groups, counseling, and therapy as though you were still in inpatient care. This program allows you to try your skills out at home, but remain fully entrenched in our care for strong support. Our Intensive Outpatient Program is much more flexible and allows you to schedule treatments around your work or school schedule so you can get back to your responsibilities, while still remaining connected to a sober community.
As a patient, you will be encouraged to take all the time you need in aftercare treatment, as you gain the skills and confidence to succeed out in the world. Resurgence can also provide referrals to our partners who run sober living homes, and after treatment, there is a network of alumni to help clients remain connected to a supportive sober community in person, over the phone, or online.
Alcohol Detox Program
For how common it is in our culture, alcohol is a surprisingly dangerous and difficult substance to detox from. Alcohol detox symptoms can range from the mild (anxiety, headache, mood swings, nightmares, insomnia, confusion) to the serious effects of delirium tremens which can include high fever, hallucinations, agitation and seizures, and can lead to death if not overseen by medical professionals.
Your symptoms will vary depending on factors like genetics, body weight, the amount you were drinking and how often, how long you have been drinking, your metabolism, and your mental state as you enter the detox program.
Detoxing from alcohol does not need to be scary or dangerous. At Resurgence, we offer a Medically Assisted Treatment program (MAT) for alcohol detox, in which we give FDA-approved medications at prescription doses to help you with your withdrawal symptoms, alcohol cravings, and to help you rest. We will also introduce counseling at this time so you can have help with any emotions or trauma that comes up as the alcohol leaves your body.

Drug Detox Program
Detoxing from drugs is different for everybody, as it depends on your state of being as well as what drug you are detoxing from. Some symptoms you may experience include:
- Anxiety or depression
- Irritability
- Excessive sweating
- Stomach issues like cramps, diarrhea, or nausea
- Headaches or body aches
- Tremors
- Flu-like symptoms
- Insomnia
- Intense drug cravings
These symptoms can range from mild to extreme, and at Resurgence, we will ensure that you remain hydrated and that you eat good healthy food, and stay safe while you detox. Your progress will be monitored 24/7 by our clinical staff, and a nurse practitioner is on-site each day to check that everything is going as planned.
We can also provide our Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) program for drug detox, and in many cases, it is recommended to help you get through the worst of the drug cravings, help you rest, and deal with pain. We will also determine if you require a dual diagnosis treatment and whether you require psychiatric medication. MAT is an integrated treatment, combining therapy and groups with the medication so you will be able to deal with any trauma or unwanted thoughts that may come up. Once you are stable, you will move into our rehab program.
Alcohol Rehab for Residents of Pennsylvania
Alcohol rehab at Resurgence is a collaborative and educational experience for our clients. We will begin by learning all about you through medical and psychological screening, and an in-depth interview to get to know your needs and goals, and what you want to achieve as a sober person in your future. This will help us to create a customized rehabilitation program that will be pertinent to you and your interests while helping you gain the sobriety skills and recovery tools you will need to live a self-directed life after rehab is over.
Through therapy, education, life-skills training, counseling, and taking care of your physical and mental health, we will work to get to the root of your addiction and provide you with new coping techniques so that you will be prepared to go back out into the world without the urge to turn back to alcohol as a crutch.

How Much Does Rehab Cost?

How Long is Detox?
The length of detox depends on your health and drug history, and which substance you are detoxing from. Every drug affects the body differently. In general, your symptoms will show up within a few hours of your last use and will gradually worsen until about 72 hours. Once it peaks, you will begin to feel a little better each day. With our medically assisted detox and our 24/7 clinical oversight, you will not have to worry about having dangerous side effects or feeling too uncomfortable. We will help you through this.
How Long is Rehab?
There are many paths you can take toward sobriety, and at Resurgence, we have options for our residential rehab program, as well as outpatient programs afterward. The minimum amount of time recommended for residential care is 30 days, and then we have longer 60- and 90-day programs for people who need it. A longer stay in inpatient rehab will result in a lower chance of relapsing.

30-Day (short term rehab)
In our short-term 30-day rehab, you will stay in a comfortable room with a full-sized bed and a TV, in a serene and peaceful environment, surrounded by peers as you rehabilitate. You will have a full month of structured and scheduled days, filled with therapy appointments, group sessions, education about addiction and recovery strategies, and life-skills classes that will fill in any gaps you may have due to your addiction, like interviewing for a job, nutritional counseling, or self-management. We will make sure each day has a purpose, so you get the most out of your short time with us. After 30 days, it is recommended you transfer into an outpatient program.
Long Term Rehab (60-90 Days)
Long-term rehab is for anybody who feels they want extra time to gain the skills they will need to live independently once they leave rehab, but it is especially recommended for people who have a history of relapsing, or for anybody who is dealing with a co-occurring condition like PTSD or bipolar disorder.
You will have the time to focus on yourself and your recovery, work on your physical health through exercise and proper nutrition, and gain skills to level up and become the person you want to be. You will be surrounded by like-minded peers in a safe and sober environment, and our highly trained staff will be there any time you need them. Our facilities are designed for rest and relaxation, so outside of your schedule in the daytime, you will have plenty of space to rest and reflect on what you’ve learned, with the benefit of being away from your everyday stresses and triggers, so you can have a new perspective on life.

Couples Rehab
Relationships, where both members of a couple use drugs or drink together, are common, but over time these couples may begin to find that the substances are getting in the way of their connection. Even if both members love each other and are committed to the relationship, drugs or alcohol can create a rift, and the emotional distance will continue to grow over time unless you seek help.
Couples rehab can help if you are:
- Feeling like you need drugs or alcohol to feel close to your partner, enjoy physical intimacy, talk about your relationship
- Feeling like doing drugs together is the only thing you enjoy as a couple
- Feeling isolated from your friends or family and other social support, like drinking or drug use, can cause you to distance yourself from others
- Arguing with each other about issues related to drug and alcohol use, like if one partner stays out partying all night, if daily responsibilities like cleaning and childcare are being neglected, or if you are having money troubles
- Constantly needing to cover for your partner, like if they are hungover and you call in sick for them, or if they are unable to attend a function so you make up an excuse for them.
- Finding yourself or your partner blurring boundaries, especially when it comes to domestic violence. Substances can remove proper judgment, resulting in violent behavior like yelling, hitting, or pushing that you may regret the next day
- Finding yourself enabling your partner or becoming codependent
Getting treatment together in couples rehab is beneficial for many reasons, including:
- Having the comfort of your loved one being there with you as you go through rehab
- Learning to spend quality time together as sober people
- Learning effective communication
- Learning about triggers and how to avoid them
- Having a built-in support system in your partner, who knows you and knows what to do if relapse occurs
- Being able to support each other, and keep each other on track
- Growing together in new ways
- A lower chance of fighting, separation, and divorce
At Resurgence, we will treat you as separate individuals, helping you each get to the roots of your own addictions and helping you meet your goals, and we will also treat your relationship in couples therapy. You will become stronger as individual people, and your relationship will flourish as you re-learn how to love one another without the use of drugs or alcohol.
Pet Friendly Rehab
At Resurgence, we never want to have to put you in a position where you must choose between your pet and your sobriety, and this is why we are a pet-friendly rehab facility. You can bring your dog or cat along with you. Not only will they provide you with extra support and love in this difficult time but having a pet around can increase self-esteem and feelings of worth. Animals can help with stress and depression, and they can lower your heart rate and blood pressure. Having a dog around can increase your physical activity and get you out to socialize as well as take them for a walk.

Does My Insurance Have Coverage for Rehab?
Insurance covers rehab, like mental health and addiction services are considered essential health services in the USA under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) of 2010, and the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA).
