Drug Rehab Henderson Resurgence Behavioral Health

Attending Drug Rehab for the First Time

If you’re engaging in habitual drug abuse and can’t seem to stop, you should know that this situation is likely to get worse–not better–unless you get help. Drug addiction is a serious health condition that affects both physical and mental health as well as the most important aspects of a person’s life–their family, friendships, career, and finances. People gravitate to drug use for many different reasons, and some people will become addicted. If you are addicted to a street drug or prescription drug, attending drug rehab in Henderson is the first step toward lasting recovery. Resurgence Behavioral Health offers customized addiction treatment programs. With support, you can put your drug dependence behind you.

If you’ve never attended a drug rehab before, you should know that each one tends to be somewhat different from another. There are many types of addiction treatments. Some rehabs focus exclusively on medically sanctioned treatments such as cognitive-behavioral therapy. Some base their treatment paradigms on 12-step programming. Others offer holistic or alternative treatment programs like art therapy in order to support the recovery process.

Resurgence Behavioral Health features a mix of treatments that include both medically sanctioned therapies and holistic treatments. We believe in treating the whole person–not just their addiction. Because drug addiction affects so many aspects of an individual’s life, our therapists find it beneficial to address those aspects, helping people cope with their triggers while building their post-addiction life. At Resurgence, you can expect customized treatment designed to target your particular treatment needs.

What to Expect in Drug Rehab

When you enter Resurgence Behavioral Health for addiction treatment, you can expect a thorough evaluation of your condition. Addiction specialists need to know what you’re experiencing so they can recommend the ideal course of treatment for you. Many people also suffer from an underlying mental illness. If you have a dual diagnosis, Resurgence is equipped to provide the high-quality treatments needed to manage both conditions effectively.

When meeting with our team, we will acquaint you with the different treatment programs we offer. We’ll provide you with all the information you need so you can decide which program is the right fit. Our Henderson rehab offers both inpatient and outpatient programs. Once you enroll in a treatment program, we can get started right away. Most people begin with medical detox. Once detox is complete, they can transition to therapy that addresses the psychological aspects of addiction.

At Resurgence Behavioral Health, clients can expect our therapists, clinicians, and support staff to treat them with respect and empathy. We also feature group counseling sessions because it allows us to create a truly supportive environment where clients can also interact and support one another.

Choosing a Drug Rehab Program

It can be difficult to choose the right drug rehab program for you. That’s why our addiction specialists are here to guide you. We will inform you about all the treatments we offer and why we think a certain treatment course is ideal for your needs. Some rehabs offer cookie-cutter treatment programs, but we believe that the customized approach works best for clients. Our therapists get to know each client and their circumstances so they can provide them with individualized care and support. In our experience, this is the best way to build a strong foundation for recovery.

Inpatient Drug Rehab Treatment

Inpatient drug rehab offers clients an immersive treatment experience that is free from the distractions of home and the outside world. Inpatient treatment generally begins with clinical detox, which targets physical dependence on the drug. After detox, treatment targets the mental and behavioral aspects of addiction, which are quite powerful and are often associated with relapse.

Inpatient treatment provides clients with 24/7 support if they need it. Clients attend therapy sessions and group activities, but they also have downtime to spend relaxing in their room or in common areas. What’s ideal about inpatient programs is that the individual can avoid temptations while they’re in the early stages of recovery. Resurgence provides a safe setting where clients can focus on their treatment. Once they become more stable, they can transition to less intensive treatment programming.

Outpatient Drug Rehab

Many clients do the transition from inpatient to outpatient treatment programs. Sometimes, clients will begin their recovery journey with an outpatient program. Clients may not want to reside at an inpatient rehab for a long period of time. They may feel stable enough to attend treatment sessions while continuing to work or care for their families.

Outpatient treatment can lead to recovery success when the individual is stable. If you have a supportive home environment and feel in control of your compulsions and cravings to use, you may benefit from the outpatient treatment model. On the other hand, if you don’t feel stable or have a supportive home environment, the outpatient model might not be best for you at the start of your recovery journey. Our addiction specialists can help you determine which type of program is ideal for your situation.

During outpatient therapy, clients will attend the same types of treatment sessions such as individual therapy and group counseling. However, rather than remaining at the rehab when their treatment is over for the day, they can return to their own homes.

Drug Detox

Drug detox addresses a person’s physical dependence on drugs. Unless this dependence is addressed, clients will find it difficult to impossible to focus on their treatment. That’s why treatment invariably begins with clinically supervised detox. During detox, clients can expect to experience withdrawal symptoms like headaches, insomnia, anxiety, and nausea. Our clinicians can provide treatments to reduce these symptoms so that the person can rest and remain as comfortable as possible.

Withdrawal is not pleasant. There’s no sugarcoating that; however, with treatment, these symptoms can be greatly reduced in severity. It’s important to note that clients should not detox on their own. Without treatment, some withdrawal symptoms can escalate and actually endanger a person’s health. Some withdrawal triggers can trigger health emergencies like seizures, heart irregularities, and suicidal thoughts.

At Resurgence, our staff monitors each patient, ensuring that they feel comfortable and are safe. Usually, detox lasts about a week. Sometimes the time frame is shorter and sometimes longer. The time frame depends on the drug the individual is addicted to, the amount of time the person has been addicted, and their body’s unique chemistry. Once detox has been completed, the person is ready to begin the next phase of treatments.

Drug Rehab Therapies

At Resurgence, we offer a wide range of drug rehab therapies that support lasting recovery. Each of our treatment offerings targets some aspect of addiction. Most of our programming relates to cognitive behavioral therapy and associated treatments. During these treatment sessions, therapists work with clients to unravel the genesis of their addiction–what led them to abuse drugs in the first place. It’s important to understand one’s triggers in order to manage them in the future. These triggers don’t disappear after detox. Instead, clients must develop healthy strategies for managing them.

Some common triggers include negative emotions like fear or anger. Unless a person can develop healthful ways of coping with these feelings, relapse will remain a serious threat. During individual and group therapy sessions, clients learn how to develop strategies for managing their triggers and keeping their relapse on track. We also feature 12-step programming and holistic treatments designed to enhance the recovery process.

Resurgence also offers dual diagnosis treatment. If you’re suffering from both an addiction and mental health disorder like depression or anxiety, simultaneous treatment that addresses both conditions is needed. At Resurgence, we can provide this treatment. Roughly a third of people with an addiction also suffer from a mental illness. Both conditions can affect one another. With concurrent treatments, both conditions can be managed successfully.
